AndrewKeymaster@morrieuke1 – Excellent performance, Michael! One suggestion, try to emphasize the rasgueado strum more. Check out Matt’s lesson on it in Module 4 from our Next Level Strumming Course.

AndrewKeymaster@misterbones – Awesome performance, Michael! For the harmonic, the angle of your attack is correct, but you’re hitting the strings too hard. Try a light tap.
@bolognakid – Your triplet strum technique looks and sounds great! Feel was spot on too! Well done, Rachael ๐November 8, 2025 at 8:00 pm in reply to: Participate in the November 2025 Member Challenge โ WIN $2,250 Kanile’a Uke #76500November 2, 2025 at 6:15 pm in reply to: Participate in the October 2025 Member Challenge โ WIN $2,250 Kanile’a Uke #76440

AndrewKeymaster@jbmills07 – Dude, that was awesome and great work on getting the strumming technique down! Really impressive playing! ๐
@jedart – Great playing and singing Jed! Rhythm/timing and feel were excellent! I agree with where you’re at: the polishing stage. Focus on cleaning up the chords where you hear a bit of string buzz. You could also experiment with ways to make the harder chords easier. For example, in Chorus 2, where you have the two chords that share the same shape, try fretting only strings 1โ3 (skipping the note on string 4) and target your strumming to hit just those strings.
Alternatively, you could fret the 4th string note with your thumb. Either approach works great and feels much easier than barring the top strings with your middle finger.
@malku2603 – You did amazing, I’m proud of you! Stepping out of your comfort zone to tackle these harder tunes is exactly how we grow as players and musicians. You nailed so many aspects of this song, from the licks to those slide-y chords. Really well done ๐
@mysticrick – Really impressive work keeping the beat steady while playing solo with no accompaniment, thatโs not easy to do! I thought you nailed it! Great singing and playing overall. Bravo, Rick ๐
@joe150 – That was awesome, Joe! The only section that could use a little more attention is the very last lick, everything else sounded great! You did an excellent job getting all the rhythms, chords, and licks down. Super impressive!Next, Iโd focus on memorizing each section. Keep up the great work!
@robinboyd – Groove was spot on! I was tapping my foot along throughout the entire performance. Great playing and singing Robin!
@lynnzo – I’m glad you stepped out of your comfort zone, it was worth it! You played and sang it beautifully! Great feel throughout ๐
@The_Bumble_Bard – You’ve got the first half of the intro down pretty well! Just gotta fine tune the second half of it. For the rest of the tune, you’ve got a great base established. Just take it bar-by-bar / section-by-section and you’ll be playing it smooth in no time!
@bibilele – You played it really well, Bianca! A little more practice and itโll be as smooth as you want it to be. Honestly, it doesnโt sound like itโll take much more work. Keep up the great work!
@nat-uke – Your voice has such a great tone, I really enjoyed your singing! Funny you mention that tricky chord in Chorus 2. I actually wrote some advice for Jed above on tackling it, and one thing I suggested was exactly what you did ๐As for your performance, it was excellent! Great groove throughout!
@nelsonlin2021 – I say this almost every challenge, but itโs truly incredible how fast youโve progressed in your playing. This take was excellent! The only thing I noticed is that you lose your place a couple of times in a phrase, or thereโs a brief hesitation where the tempo pauses for a split second. To smooth those out, try playing along with Sammy in the tab player. Once you can match him perfectly, switch back to playing solo without his track as a guide.Keep up the great work, Nelson!

AndrewKeymaster@otzepeng – Incredibly impressive Markus! Bravo! ๐
The only part I’m hearing that could use a little extra attention is the second half of the intro. Work on nailing that transition into bar 5 without a pause, and focus on smoothing out the transitions during the stretch chords (which are crazy tough!).
@brettboy – That was awesome Brett! You rocked it! ๐Keep at it with the solo ๐
October 27, 2025 at 6:01 pm in reply to: Participate in the October 2025 Member Challenge โ WIN $2,250 Kanile’a Uke #76379
AndrewKeymaster@morrieuke1 – You rocked it, that was awesome! ๐
@lhamilton – You rocked it, too! Love it! One tip for ukes that are electric and plugged-in, since it amplifies everything, you’ll want to use the palm of your right hand to lightly touch the strings you’re not playing. That will prevent unwanted string noise in the background, for ex at 1:18 in your video.
@rgillof – I thought you did a great job on the “waves”. They rang clearly and sustained beautifully. Overall, great take! From here, I’d work on connecting sections and keeping the tempo steady throughout. Try playing along with the tab player in synthetic mode with the metronome activated.
@bolognakid – Wow, Rachael! I can’t believe you’ve been playing for less than a year. Great feel and sense of timing! Whatever you’re doing, keep it up, it’s working!BTW – I like how you simplified the sliding chords from 1e&a to 1 &. That was a great idea!
@grannieannie – You played it wonderfully Annie! From here, Iโd focus on refining and smoothing it out. You already play it so well! Just a couple more practice sessions, and youโll have it perfected!
@karenj – Great performance Karen! For the slide-y chords, keep your finger pressure held down throughout the entire duration and try practicing them at a slower tempo. For Bridge 1, try playing it at the same tempo as the prev sections. I know Evan sped up here in his performance, but try to keep the tempo steady or you could gradually speed up into this section.
Lastly, the lick at 1:14 in your performance, keep the 3rd string as straight (parallel) as possible. If we pull down on it, it will cause the note(s) to go sharp.

@anyon1 – Sounds great Adriana! Try to keep your right hand/wrist as relaxed as possible and continue to work on increasing tempo. Keep up the great work!
@katazumiri – That was awesome! ๐๐October 23, 2025 at 6:59 pm in reply to: Participate in the October 2025 Member Challenge โ WIN $2,250 Kanile’a Uke #76358October 22, 2025 at 10:19 pm in reply to: Participate in the October 2025 Member Challenge โ WIN $2,250 Kanile’a Uke #76356
AndrewKeymaster@leb397 – You played it well! I really have to nitpick to give feedback, lol. The only section I’d revisit is the first bridge. That section could be a little bit tighter on timing/tempo, but again, there’s not much I can critic. You rocked it! ๐ค
@misterbones – Wow! Timing, feel, rhythm and the solo!! All amazing, bravo Michael ๐
@shmu88 – Dang, what are the chances of 2 awesome takes on this tune back to back!! You guys are killin’ it!I loved the split-screen solo, was sick! Great playing!
AndrewKeymasterGreat players!
