ParticipantI haven’t participated in a challenge in a while. But this month I really wanted to make it because I love the song Spanish Romance and Steve’s arangement for the ukulele is great! Unfortunately I cut my finger in the beginning of march and I wasn’t able to practice for a couple of weeks. So this is where 3 days of practicing got me. There are still some mistakes here and there (especially in melody B) an there’s definitely room for improvement on my vibrato technique. But I am proud of myself that I even managed to learn the song in such a short time.

Here is my entry for the challenge. I would have loved to learn Greensleeves or the Bourree. But I don’t have a low G string. So I just decided to learn the other 3. Ode to Joy , Aura Lee, and Scarborough Fair.January 4, 2019 at 4:04 am in reply to: Participate in the January 2019 Member Challenge – You Decide What To Work On! #22055lizzieswolf
Participant1. I am somewhere between the beginner and intermediate level. And this month I really want to work on my speed in fingerpicking while still keeping every note clear to hear.
2. To do that I picked the Theme from Stranger Things because I have wanted to learn that song for quite a while now but never came around to actually do it.
3. I’ll try to record myself at least once a week. That way I can see my progress.September 26, 2018 at 4:48 pm in reply to: Participate in the September 2018 Member Challenge – Fingerpicking Themed! #18693lizzieswolf
ParticipantHere is my entry!
This is only the second challenge for me, since I didn’t find the time to record the songs the last few months. (But I learned them!) This month was kinda tricky because I learned the songs early on then went on vacation just to forget half of them and relearn them again…. But it was so mich fun I decided to learn both of the etudes. So thank you very much for the challenge!June 29, 2018 at 8:03 am in reply to: Participate in the June 2018 Member Challenge – Classical Themed! #17524lizzieswolf
