Here’s my entry for this month’s challenge with Our First Song. I was actually really excited for Santa Fe but I knew I won’t have time to learn it properly.
Hope everyone’s having a decent start to the new year!

This is my entry with the arrangement for ‘Hanukkah, Oh Hanukkah’. I really enjoyed learning it! It was nice to use the low G for a change 🙂
I wish I had a bit more time to polish it but on the other hand it’s nice to have some time off during the holidays!
Happy holidays everyone!

Here’s my entry – I did Toss a Coin to Your Witcher to really push myself. I’m at about 3 and a half months now. I learned a lot from this song – about harmonics, about campanella… This was such an awesome arrangement – it was really satisfying to learn. But it was so hard to record! I kept forgetting the song in randomest places 🙂 I’m glad I got a cleanish take!

November 20, 2020 at 1:33 pm #42042November 20, 2020 at 1:26 pm #42040tsetsovaMemberHi Matt and Drew, I’ve been learning “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher” for the challenge and I noticed there’s a discrepancy between the printable tabs and the play along tabs. To make matters even more confusing when Matt demoes the song it matches the play along tabs, but when he teaches it, it’s based off of the printable tabs.
It’s not a huge difference- in bars 3 and 25 a quarter note is turned into an 8th and an additional 8th note is inserted. Bar 26 has the opposite. I learned from the printed tabs and am now practicing my rhythm with the play along when I spotted the differences.
So I was wondering which is the definitive version? 🙂

Hi this is my entry for the the giveaway – it’s the melodic etude.
Just to give some context – I’m a beginner, I started learning the uke in the beginning of August. This is the hardest song I’ve tried so far 🙂
