ParticipantDear Andrew and rickeymike,
Thank you for being so encouraging. I absolutely understand what you mean, Andrew. Certainly will work on smoothing out and blending the chord and melody notes. My playing was a bit harsh on review and now I know why! Thank you . I will keep working on it.I really love being part of the rockclass101 community.

Hi folks,
My name is Nicole, but you can call me Nicky or Candy.
I’ve been playing ukulele for about 2ish months in total now.
I learned one song and one chord progression on ukulele quite a few years ago and then left it, but thanks to lockdown I discovered a new passion and have focused a lot of attention onto learning ukulele! I love this arrangement of ‘People are Strange’ by Andrew and AJ. I know my performance is not perfect but it’s my progress so far. 🙂Here is my entry to the Rock Class 101 June Challenge! On my High-G ukulele

ccwukeParticipant@Andrew thank you for the feedback, much appreciated. I’ll definitely try adding some dynamics and feel into my playing.
The intermediate songs I’ve done recently have been a great challenge and I feel like I’m learning a lot and improving each week.
Glad you liked the ending I added too!
Chris

Member@anirbaf. Great to hear from you and good luck with Billie Jean. You’re right. It’s such fun isn’t it … but man it’s killing me! Please tag me in when you post your entry. Things get busy on this forum towards the end of the month and I really don’t want to miss it. Good luck.

rickeymikeMemberNicky – Low G or not, that was dang superb! Love that huge slide to emphasize the word lyric “strange”.

janett75ParticipantAndrew, thanks so much for the encouragement and the feedback. I will certainly work on my left hand as you suggest – I had no idea that my fingers were at the wrong angle but I now see what you mean. Thanks again.

Here is my try on People Are Strange. I didn’t know the song before but now I love it! The low G is perfect for this song. Great arrangement, Andrew and AJ!
In the recording, I totally forgot about the pick up bar… and there are some more minor mistakes.
I am looking forward to the feedback, because I created a drum beat in ableton and I want to try to play along to it 😀 It’s more fun than playing to the metronome.Stay safe and best wishes,
JohannaJune 22, 2020 at 2:57 pm #38868
AndrewKeymaster@johanna2509 – That was very good, well done! There are some VERY minor timing issues on the second section (B chord part), but honestly nothing to really point out. In fact, I’d say jam to the drummer, it will tighten up that section and keep you locked in the groove even more-so. Keep up the excellent work!

johanna2509ParticipantWow what a quick response! Thanks so much Andrew, I will work on that section with the drums 🙂

lisadmhParticipantThere are drums? What did I miss? I don’t see or hear drums.
