@ukandrea – A lot of it is feel. Your picking attack, and even how you fret the notes, affects the overall tone. I come from the guitar world, and there’s countless guys trying to chase Eddie Van Halen’s tone – but the truth is – you can buy all his gear, but his tone was in his hands. He’d still sound like himself through a starter setup.
You may want to take a Skype Lesson with Stephen. It would be beneficial to work on this concept with him so that you can get feedback in real-time.

@joelnal – Well done, Joel! Left hand looks great and the piece sounds great overall, but there is one area I want you to work on: your right hand.

Actually Linda, what you stated is the way to fix it. Can you post a video playing up to speed so I can hear/see what’s going on. Doesn’t have to be the whole song.

clempek – Excellent playing, Clem! Only thing I’d say is to keep working on some of those transitions where you have a bit of a pause. Overall, it was awesome! And you can check the renewal/expiration date for your membership by clicking “Account Info” in the menu. You’ll see the date on that page.

They’re all level 3, except for Game of Thrones. I’d say River is the most challenging of the bunch, but they’re all upper intermediate to advanced.
