AndrewKeymasterI’d recommend taking a Skype lesson with Stephen for help on theory π

AndrewKeymasterFantastic playing, Rhian! You nailed the vibe of the tune! My only critique is to not rush the first 2 bars of Melody B. It’s a really cool lick with tricky timing! Here’s a video I made last year to help another member with the rhythm/timing of those bars.
AndrewKeymasterThat should be fine, but I’d fret the A note on the G string with the middle finger.
And thank you for the kind words π
AndrewKeymasterTheory is awesome! It helps in a lot of areas, for ex: I just wrote 4 short compositions that are Halloween themed. And theory gave me some starting points and ideas on how I could make the music sound spooky π

AndrewKeymasterOverall we had 53 members participate in this monthβs challenge! And guys, I know I sound like a broken record, but it’s so cool to see everyone come together and support each other as a community and to challenge ourselves to get better! Bravo to everyone who participated π
Our September challenge is LIVE and the theme is: SONGS ABOUT FOOD! Thereβs also a very adorable prize for September! You can check out the new challenge here: https://rockclass101.com/september-2021-challenge
So without further ado, the winner of this monthβs challenge is **drum-roll**

P.S. Stephen will post the last of the remaining feedback tonight π

AndrewKeymasterThat was awesome, Sara!
AndrewKeymasterBeautifully played, Sebastian π
AndrewKeymasterThank you for the kind words, Jay! I’ll pass them along to Steven π
AndrewKeymasterBIG improvement in fluidity, Rickey! Well done π
AndrewKeymasterWhat I wanted to do was take bits from each version and stick it together. However Iβm not sure if itβs all in the same key (or if that even matters).
You would need to play in the same key as ours. If you need help transposing, Stephen could help you in a Skype lesson.
Iβve started learning the Phrygian dominant scale in A for all the finger style bits but am not sure if I can use this key with the rock class version.
Yep, you can use that!
P.s I also watched an insane version by Paul Caca who is not using low G. So wondered if this would also be possible with the rock class version.
Unfortunately, he’s playing in a different key.

AndrewKeymaster@johanna2509 – Well done, Johanna. Sounds great on guitar! And yes, those stretch chords are tough on that instrument, but your form looks great. Keep up the good work!
AndrewKeymasterWelcome, @limitlessvibrations and cool song! So we’ve done one lesson that adds a percussive beat to strum patterns. Folks seemed to really dig this lesson, so we’ll prob do more in the future. But hopefully that gives you an idea to go from π
