AndrewKeymasterHere are the folks on page 10 we hadn’t gotten to yet.
rockster – Great playing, Rocco! And thank you for the kind words. I want you to try playing along with the tab player (in synthetic mode with the metronome on). Take 4 or 8 bar sections at a time and try to match your playing to it. The playback will act as a guide to help keep you locked in and strengthen your timing.
richard_siegert – Well done, Richard! One melody change: For the third bar, which plays out of A minor, you want to vamp on the E string, not the A string.
A couple times you messed up a little section and then restarted. Always play through your mistakes. Pretend like you’re performing with a band, if you mess up, they don’t stop, they keep going.
Now that you have your performance recorded, it’s always great to go back and note where you struggled. Because then you can target your practice in those areas.
ukealori – I loved your performance, Lori! And don’t worry about the nerves, it hits all of us when we hit record. I noticed there were a couple tricky chord transitions, so just target practice on those spots. But great job overall, keep up the good work!

AndrewKeymasterriley_ukulele – Looks like Steven missed your post on page 9. But I took and listen and have to say the rhythmic changes you added really made for a cool rendition on Steven’s take. Very creative, well done!
@ldarrow – Thank you so much for your generous donation, Linda 🙂December 22, 2021 at 7:15 pm in reply to: Participate in the December 2021 Member Challenge – WIN $2,100 Kanile’a #49956

AndrewKeymasterHere’s everyone on page 8.

laurajax – Wonderfully played! Looks like you may have been reading wile playing, so my only suggestion is to memorize it so you can focus 100% on playing. But overall, well done!
bethany_guardiani – Love the pickup you added before the melody! Playing sounds great, well done this month! And thank you so much for the donation! Please send me an email with the amount so I can update our tally 🙂
bemarlie – Way to go, Marlie! Sounds awesome! My suggestion as you continue to practice is to play the piece at a slower tempo. This will help you keep the tempo consistent throughout. But great job overall! This is a toughy to play and you did well!
yukalele – Sounds great, David! You should def sing more 🙂
Check out meetup.com or ask folks on this facebook group if there’s a local uke club near you. Lot’s of cities have one, hopefully yours does too. (P.S. not sure if you meant uke club or an actual choir)

brettboy – Amazing feel as always, Brett! And great job on nailing those harmonics in the instrumental breakdown. Watch out for the 2nd bar in the instrumental breakdown. It starts with 2 quarter notes – very tricky change in the rhythm since it feels like everything is suppose to be an 8th.
Thank you so much for your generous donation!
tules14 – Here’s my feedback for you and thank you so much for your generous donation!
turkgoose – Brilliant performance! Keep up the great work 🙂
andyrose – Here’s my feedback for you and thank you so much for your generous donation!
joe150 – Love the ending, Joe! You did a great job on this tune! One tip: check out the video I left above for Andy. It’ll give you an idea on how you can sing/play that opening phrase to help get the timing/rhythm down a little tighter. Also, watch your tempo on this one. Try to go a little bit slower to let that melody shine 🙂

AndrewKeymaster@mkstewart67 – Beautiful playing, Melissa! And thank you so much for your generous donation and kind words 🙂
The only critique I have is: A couple times you messed up a little section and then restarted. Always play through your mistakes. Pretend like you’re performing with a band, if you mess up, they don’t stop, they keep going.
Other than that, keep up the great work! You are rockin’!

AndrewKeymaster@lbilkie – You should def sing more! You sing and play beautifully 🙂
Thank you so much for the donation! Please send me an email with the amount so I can update our tally 🙂
AndrewKeymasterThat’s awesome that you put it onto the baritone and I will pass your kind words along to Matt. You should def post a video cover of it. We’d love to hear it! As far as tabs, they are assets for premium members. We did teach the entire song for free in the YouTube video, so we def try to find a nice balance with what we offer to both free and premium members 🙂

AndrewKeymaster@misterbones – Bravo, Michael! Brilliant playing 🙂
I sent it to Christopher to watch. He’s gonna love it! BTW – I think this one was the hardest choice for this month.
@ukandrea – Looks and sounds great to me! Keep at it. I look forward to watching the full performance 🙂December 16, 2021 at 11:23 am in reply to: Participate in the December 2021 Member Challenge – WIN $2,100 Kanile’a #49802
AndrewKeymaster@bibilele – Playing sounds great and congrats on 12 months of challenges, Bianca! Amazing! I’m def going to share that accomplishment this week on our social media. What’s your next goal?
And thank you so much for your generous donation 🙂
@lhamilton – Excellent take, Linda! Well done!
@leslieb – Love it, Leslie! Such a festive take with the Christmas tree backdrop. My only suggestion is to play from memory to eliminate some of the pauses as you’re reading the music and playing.I bet you already have most of it memorized. Try playing without looking and if you get stuck, target your practice there. That’s the approach that works well with me when I work on memorizing music 🙂
@ferrouselm – The changes you threw in were very creative. I love the harmonics, the octave notes and the ending! Excellent playing! Hope you join us in more challenges 🙂
@bomarkt – Lovely playing, Bo! I have one suggestion for you. I want you to work on keeping the timing a little more steady. Try playing along with the tab player in “synthetic” mode with the metronome on. The click will give you the beat and the playback will act as a guide for helping you stay in time. Try 4 or 8 bar sections at a time. And thank you so much for your generous donation 🙂
