@andrew thank you! Think I have long road ahead on the banjoUke but it sure is fun.

@willw18 Loved your rendition!

I chose O Come All Ye Faithful, as well. It’s tricky using only your thumb – I agree what @clempek said. Making it sound and flow isn’t easy. Nicely played Clem.

I put a bonus piece on the end – just for fun and playing around with my 100 yr. old banjo Uke. I attempted claw hammer but it wasn’t any better than what I did do 😁

Thank you Andrew and all the team. So much fun to really challenge myself each month with a great selections of music. THIS GROUP ROCKS!
I donated $20 to the Kids Uke group. Hope they can purchase tons of equipment for the kids.

@misterbones, love it. I have tried it on my banjo Uke as well but didn’t think it flowed well enough. Good explanation to @the_bumble_bard and love your transition up neck… made it sound smooth. Thumbs up. 👏👍
@TBB You too almost have it!

@morrieuke1 nicely played. Such a great song.

[leb397]

@andrew thank you. I believe we are saying same thing -open 4th string moves to 3rd fret string 2 (E)
#2 question I’ll try ignoring the 4th (G) string, 5th bar.

Always appreciate you support. Louisa

[leb397]

@andrew Question I am working on Come All Ye Faithful and using my low g tenor. I’ve changed the single open “c”/G string to the E string 3rd fret, as you mentioned in a post this month. Question is the Am7 in the 5th bar doesn’t sound quite right open on c&g. Do you play the cords with open g&c as written for low G?
Hopefully that is explained correctly. Louisa

[leb397]

@the_bumble_bard love it. I was playing around with same pattern. Sounds so good. Great entry and your infectious laugh makes me smile ☺️. Have a wonderful holiday friend 🎼

@marianne such emotion ❤️👏❤️👏

@emiliano lovely! How exciting you will finally get your prize. Can’t wait to hear future challenges.

@Maryjanew you have really improved. I’ve been watching everyone’s and nicely done. Love your enthusiasm.
Time to practice. Short month! Louisa

Great selection @andrew! Also a super opportunity to support the Ukulele Kids Club. Happy holidays and strumming friends.
PS short month for entries…

@anya09 I see it now. Nice entry!

[leb397]

@anya09 not sure why but I don’t see you sound cloud entry

[leb397]

@k_rall impressive!

[leb397]

@Andrew, thank you the the kind words. I went back and watched my entry of two years ago and was pleased it actually showed improvement! 😁. Thanks again.

@the_bumble_bard thank you for the comments and kudos. I have been doing more with clawhammer and hope to tackle a new song.

@gi_gi_ hope you get your entry in. I often make a quick comment when a challenge opens just so I can click the box and get notified when everyone enters. I’m sure you do the same. Hope you get your entry in.

@marianne – love that #26 so beautiful on the baritone. @karenj – you played flawlessly and always like your connection with the camera…

@lhamilton I have IMovie too and tried, on previous entry, to combine the audio and video – struggled because I didn’t have a mac but only the ipad. Good luck. you did a nice job on both parts. Anxious to hear what you use next.

@grannieannie the challenges are always a struggle for me. Old fingers don’t connect with my brain. I practice A LOT and find it just takes more time. I will pick a piece that I like and then say “WHY”, because it’s difficult – But it motivates me. Good luck with #17 and have great holiday.
See you all again in December! Louisa
PS – many more need positive comments but PLEASE KNOW this group rocks. Everyone is so good.

I selected Etude #5. I believe I did this entry two years ago but still needed to “learn” it again. Love Travis picking so this was fun to do again.
HAPPY FRIENDS-GIVING EVERYONE!!!!!

And thank you Andrew and RC for all that you do to support this community. Not sure what I’d do if you were not here…. Let the sleigh bells ring!!

[leb397]

@dianna thank you… I know this group knows the amount of time it takes… a bit bummed with very busy week ahead. But I’ll get something done. You did a great entry with #5. I may try it too. Think I even didn’t it a previous challenge.

A quick shout out to @the_bumble_bard that was brilliant. Just love the claw hammer. So cool you tried that. Worked so well. 👏👏👏

@katazumiri so enjoyable, loved it. @nat-uke well, I guess I got more practice in for that entry 😆
Great challenge people!

[leb397]

@Andrew YIKES… OK…. I’ll find one. Glad I posted early enough. It was fun to learn.
