I had just read What you said to Andrew. It’s exactly how I feel. So well stated. You had a perfect entry and memorizing WAS such a challenge. Love the back drop. I said before I watched this with my grandkids and the train scene was cool going over the water.
Ok tech issue. I record on iPad IMovie but it’s mov. I ran out of space in Dropbox which did convert to mp4. So finally used adobe. I’ve never been able to upload directly to YouTube and not sure if mov. File can be used (if not converted) on RC. If someone else has info. We can move this topic to tech thread on this site. Thanks for your suggestion. My fingers are taking a rest today 🎼😁@andrew thank you for your encouraging words. I’m like a kid waiting to hear your response 😁 Age doesn’t matter for encouragement. I’m probably older than your mother 😆 Much appreciated.
The comments @dianna made are exactly how I feel “performance ready” and having to get a recording. RC is a platform that makes us push to improve. The amount of practice so many must be doing we could all go on vacation to a warmer location (23 degrees this morning). I’m so impressed each month. I see the improvement from members and learn from them too. It’s such a big part of my day. Thanks Andrew. You have created a wonderful site for us to share…. LouisaI AM PREMIUM MEMBER
I could repeat all the challenging issues with Always With Me, that others posted and I shared all of them. I chose this piece because I just fell in love with it (thanks Steven & Andrew) but probably above my level. I was shocked I memorized it but if I lost any spec of concentration, I had to start again 🙂 This was take 50 (maybe 30) but my fingers were giving out.
(just spent 3 hours trying to convert to mp4 and upload – arrrgh!)

@the_bumble_bard you did it! This piece is so tricky. I’m not a perfectionist, when it comes to music, as @shmu88 played to perfection I think, but I feel more of “survival mode” 😁. Andrew says don’t compare but have your own journey. Totally agree but watching the amazing entries gives me a bit of angst to improve… not a bad thing. Also TBB enjoyed your claw hammer. Impressed with your ability’s to transpose.

Good discussion LouisaThat is sad 🙁 very sorry to see. I’ve witnessed others dropping their instruments and cracking. Sometimes it simple as a strap coming loose.

You are a champ opening up and exposing the REAL world of practice. Last week I almost quit this same song. Got so frustrated playing verse 1 before you get to crazy chorus. I had a block till I finally moved on and now chorus seems easier. Now I’m not saying it’s clean but I can get through it as of 11/8. Good luck. You are a good musician.👏😊
