Hello everybody!

First of all a huge thank you to the RC101 crew! 🤟🏻

I’m pretty much new in this community so I have a lot to catch up with previous lessons and arrangements, but something I’d really like to see under the RC101 Christmas tree is some more ragtime lessons/songs: I think it’s a fun and engaging gateway to jazz (which is awesome on ukulele) and I guess it would also suit a number of low-G arrangements! 🙂

Really looking forward to the new year!

Cheers @Andrew, thank you! I have to say that the last two challenges really helped my playing, compared to last summer.

One thing I noticed from the recordings I made, is that sometimes my strokes are not “even” in parts where they should 🙂 Is it just a matter of practice or there’s maybe some specific exercise I can do to try to improve that?

Hello everybody! It took me some time but here’s my take on The Christmas Song!

I loved the arrangement by Evan, quite tricky in some parts for my current level of playing but fun to learn! I made (and probably kept making!) a few mistakes here and there, but it sounded like the best take I managed to do.. At least on camera! 😄

Hello triple strummers!
Here is my take on the etude: I tried to give a go to St. Anne’s Reel but with no-so-much time available it felt a bit too much to aim for.. Looking forward to go past the first two bars as soon as possible! 😊

EDIT: just saw Andrew’s feedbacks on the “index stroke” approach rather than a kinda standard wrist strum… I guess I have to go back to practice this one! 😅
