willymacParticipantSorry about the dupicate post. I didn’t see there was a second page and thought my previous post didn’t make it.
willymacParticipantThat was incredible. Both the singing and playing. Great job.
willymacParticipantThanks everyone.

I found the Lead Sheet in the Real Book, Vol 1 (Hal Leonard). It gives the melody line and chord names. It was a lot of fun finding the chord voicings to use for the ukulele. I’d be happy to send you the chord voicings I used. Just let me know where to send them.
willymacParticipantThanks. It was a lot of fun.

Thanks for your comments. I appreciate it. As to the form. I thought on the video it said the form was AA BB A. But, I don’t always wear my reading glasses for the computer, so I probably misread it. But ultimately I’m glad I played it twice, because the first time through I messed it up, so it was great to have a second chance at it. 🙂March 31, 2020 at 8:54 am in reply to: Participate in the March 2020 Member Challenge – Classical Themed! #36490
willymacParticipantThank you so much for having these challenges. They are great fun and I learn so much from doing them. Here’s my entry for the March challenge.

willymacParticipantAndrew,
Thank you for your kind words and suggestions. I’ve been working on adding emotion to my playing, so I’ll defintely try to add those volume swells the songs. I tried earlier but I always mess up the tempo. I’ve been listening to the classical guitarist, Christopher Parkening, and trying to hear how he adds emotion and I think I can hear what he’s doing, but when I try to imitate it I lose the beat or forget the next chords. My New Years resolution is going to be “work on dynamics.” That’s actually why I switched from Blue Christmas to White Christmas. I wanted to work on dynamics and White Christmas seemed a better song for that then Blue Christmas. Thanks for your help with this, I really appreciate it.
Cheers,
Brian -
