Execution- take the course -Strumming techniques beyond the Island strum. I am going to focus on learning chunking. Currently I stick to a normal strum. I can sometimes chunk a little but I want to be consistent and on the correct beats. My goal is to practice at least 30 min a day. I am going to review my schedule as each day different and plan a time to practice.
At the end of the month I would like to be able to play a song through with chunking. Not sure of the song yet.

Application- I will apply what I learned in a song.

Evaluation- at the end of each week I will video what I am practicing to see what I need to Improve on.

I am a premium member. I chose Song of Storms. Still need to get the first barre chord to ring a clearer. It is a bit twangy. LOL.

I am a premium member. My timing is off and not very smooth in parts. But ran out of time. I had some memorized but not all.
I know I was supposed to keep my fingers down for the first melody and use my pinky for the third fret but I have an unusually small pinky so it is hard to get it to work properly. So it was easier to do it the way I did it. Maybe if I practiced a ton I could get the muscle memory working?

I can not believe I was plucking the wrong note. LOL. Good ears. Guess you better for what you do. I played again and didn’t do it must just must have been a fluke. I looks over the link you send for playing bar chords properly. Thanks. Will work on it.

I am a premium member. I did yellow submarine. I got a late start this
Month and it shows. I had a hard time
Stretching from 5th to 7th fret. I have
An unusually small pinky so that kind of
Stretch is difficult for me. And I struggled barring the D chord and getting the E and A String to ring clean.

So bummer. Practiced carol of the bells and while I knew it needed to be Submitted Before end of month, I didn’t realize it was the 23rd. Oh well. I really enjoyed learning it. Also I know you are keeping a tally. I donated $15 to the uke kids club.
Merry Christmas to you and your Team Andrew. Thanks for all you do.

I have doing carol of the bells but some parts didn’t sound right. I thought I wonder if this is supposed to be done on a low G uke? Sure enough, it is. Bummer.

Hi Qiuyan. That sounded great. I know I have to sustain my notes better. I thought you did a good job of that. What brand uke do you have and so you know what kind of wood? I love the sound. I got a new uke in November and I wish I sent it back. I really don’t like the sound and how it projects. It is a Pono made with mango wood. Jen

Here is my submission. Feels good to be able to play again. It has been a couple months due to the lovely virus.

Thanks for the feedback Stephen. I love
    My banjo uke too.
I wonder if I do that with my fretting hand from all the years of learning guitar? I found guitar difficult with my small hands and my pinkie being 1/2“ shorter then it should be. LOL. Some chords are hard to get to. I do try to laugh at my mistakes. I normally play it over and over trying to get the best take and it should not be about that but how much I improved. And believe me, I improved. I was able to play along with Matt at his pace for most of it but while I had it memorized, I was not coming up with it fast enough for some parts. So that is my future goal, to recall it faster and play full speed with Matt. I am very close. Thanks for taking time to give me feedback. Jennifer B
