Thank you Mr. Bones! I already have an electric bass with metal wound strings, so I’m leaning towards the rubber for a more acoustic sound. I do have a bass amp too. Great advice thank you again.

I donated $25 to UKC. Not sure if this counts, but I don’t have a u_bass so I recorded Stephens Silent Night on my Fender bass. Very nice job on this one Stephen, the chords voicing are beautiful for this song.

I chose Goodbye Summer for this months challenge, which ironically was recorded on my first day of summer vacation!
I have not been playing very much recently, and the barre chords were a challenge for me, especially to hold them and keep the intonation in check. I put a tambourine on my door to add some rhythm. Happy Summer all! Mike

I chose to revisit If I Fell by the Beatles. I’ve included the video from 5 years ago. I’m going to focus on playing the melody with more musicality, and less bending of strings to improve overall intonation.

Hello all, for this challenge I chose the fingerpicking song (with some strumming) Magic Ukulele Waltz. This was really fun to learn and play. It has a catchy melody, and very lyrical B section. I attempted to add dynamics and some articulations to enhance (hopefully) the style and energy of the composition. Thank you Roy, Ukulazaza, and Andrew for the fun song and transcription!

Congrats @abster and @leihali! @stephencox thanks for the feedback, sitting on the couch for comfort not always the best for handposition lol! See you all at the February challenge!

Hi everyone, I’m not sure if I still qualify since I didn’t post any progress, but either way I wanted to share my new composition “Kitty Run” for ukulele. Inspired by the 3 kittens our family recently adopted. This is my 3rd composition, the first two I wrote for previous challenges. I hope you enjoy, and it looks like nice progress everyone is making towards their goals-congrats all!

    1. Execution-for the month of January I have been working on ideas for a new ukulele composition. I have been recording ideas as I’ve practiced the past few weeks. So far I have recorded two original compositions for previous challenges.

    2. Application-take these ideas and work them into my 3rd ukulele composition. Explore a variety of finger picking and strumming patterns.

    3. Evaluation-complete, title, and record the composition.
