The_Bumble_BardParticipant@grannieannie, that does sound pretty dang magical! That sounds like a lovely memory. It’s crazy that cartoon was from 1968. So, I get that movie is iconic and obviously has some of the most iconic music ever written, but the blue meanies are waaaaaay worse than I remembered them. I made the mistake of looking them up. Yeesh… No wonder I was scared of them. 😂

I’m running out of time on this challenge, this was tougher than I thought. So here is my Mad World, mistakes and all. I simply cannot do the roll strum, I either get all the notes at once, or a very slow arpeggio. I did manage to fix the issue I’ve been having with notes and chords not ringing out, new strings fixed that issue.

Thank you so much! I wasn’t sure if the sparkles are too much. 😀 The baritones are really lovely. 🙂 I decided to wait for the drawing until I buy a baritone myself – finally. 🙂 I thought about it for a long time now.June 29, 2024 at 8:54 am #62157

Aloha from sunny Berlin,
here is the next take of “what was i made from”. I did not knew the movie or song, but my daughter already did and she told me, that this one is on her “emo-playlist”. 🙂
As usual a great arrangement by Matt and as usual a great pleasure to hear/see all of your fantastic work.June 29, 2024 at 11:44 am #62158

Mad World, after a month of practice, and now down to the wire. Recording can be nerve-wracking! 🙂 Thanks for the great song and opportunity to post. Loved hearing everyone’s submissions!

Hi, everyone!
Congratulations to all of you for your great work on submissions! I like to hear them.
Here’s my submission. I’m not satisfied with it. But I’ve had the whole family home for the last few days (it’s too hot outside to get the kids out of the house 😄), so I’m giving up on recording a better attempt.
Thanks to the whole Rockclass team for the beautiful song arrangements, support and feedback!
Have a nice days!
Jana

I chose Axel F this month. Because of Riff 2, I performed it at 90% speed as that is the best I could do in the time allotted. (Of course this makes Riff 1 painful to play at the slower speed.) I agree with the others, Axel F was fun to learn and play, and very timely with the third movie installment coming out this Summer. Thanks Andrew and Steven.
