Here is my submission after too many takes, too much swearing and too hungry/thirsty to continue any longer.
This is the only time of year that I may wear makeup!

The first hour & 1/2 of recording were without glasses – but I just could not see, so on they went.

Errors included, but this is the least amount in all my takes. So I am ok with it.
Even I can see great improvement in just one week more of practice.

I love the arrangement of this song, thanks Matt.
And thanks Andrew for the amazing learning opportunities you give us (however I may need to re-start the swear jar just for when I am recording!).

Here is my submission, my third intake. Still lots of glitches. I am hoping to send this out first and then practice at a slower pace. Would appreciate any feedback. Cheers

    Hey Medussa. I mean Miz

Great sounding performance! It’s that Gorgon in the Stairwell effect.

Here are the two folks on page 11.

surfnrz – Bravo, Ray! Great feel, use of rubato, and killer job on the higher melody section. You nailed all the important aspects of this song. Keep up the great work!

fred21 – Beautiful playing! Yes, I can hear some of the nerves, but you know what, in the second half they disappear. If you compare the “B Melody” in the first half to the second, it feels more relaxed in the latter. And that’s what I would focus your practice on. See if you can make the first time match the second’s feel. But overall, you did a really great job!

    Hello,

Here is my first participation. Sound of Silence.
Yes… there is room for improvement but I learned a lot. Thanks for the choice and for making this happen. Cheers.

Here’s part of the “Sound of Silence” that I’ve been practicing. I decided to play it on my soprano uke because it’s red like the ruby slippers (although it’s trickier, so there’s some chords that buzz instead of ringing out). Happy Halloween from Dorothy and Toto (aka Mia)!

    Andrew,

It’s funny that when I was just kicking back and playing with this song, I was starting to get into that slow dreamy feel. But of course as soon as I hit record everything immediately tenses up … I think because I focus on trying to hit every note/chord perfectly. But it is a pretty fun song to play and I’ll work on your suggestions. Thanks as always for your dedication.

    Hi!

    I am a premium member.

This was a fun song! Still working on my left hand form–old habits die hard. I memorized the piece, but the curse of the record button causes my mind to go blank, so I had the sheet music in front of me.

    Happy Halloween!

One of these months, Andrew, you will receive a submission in rhythm with smooth transitions & a clear melodic line. Sorry, not today.

As always, thank you for Rock Class. Means so much!

I had submitted this on page 9 but it wasn’t acknowledged by a mod. I don’t think I had copied the link into my message properly. So I’m posting it again. Sorry! (It is a video with just audio.)

This is my first submission to a monthly challenge. I’m a little ashamed by the quality of it, but I hope I will get better with more practice and hard work. I am a total beginner.
