    Hi ~ I chose 4 spooky melodies this month.
    I like these interesting melodies. Especially “The Escape” makes me feel the tension moment as if spook was chasing me. XD
    The most difficult challenge for me is to play everything on the beat. (´ー`)
    Here is my entry. σ`∀´)σ

    @erin99 – Excellent playing on all 4 melodies! Rhythm/timing sounded fine to me. It’s okay to add a bit of speeding up in the last melody, helps add to the tension 🙂

    I really liked learning “Stranger Things” this month. I struggle with memorizing but am quite pleased with how I play it (when the camera isn’t running LOL)

    Here is my version of Haunted Uke. I needed to pick an easier song because I was not sure how much time I’d have this month. I chose this song because I needed to work on playing along with someone else in time.
    I still made lots of mistakes but this was the best cut of the lot!
    I also worked on lining up 3 tracks for this video and it went surprisingly well, which is usually NOT the case!
    I really enjoyed this cool song, with it’s “ethereal” feel! I am wearing my butterfly stuff… sorta of a costume… 😜

    Not much time to practice this month so there’s a lot to improve on in this quick recording of Stranger Things. Its a great arrangement of the theme song from one of my favourite shows.

    Enjoying everyone’s recordings!

    Hey Everyone,

    This month I learnt the “Stranger Things Theme”. Stranger Things is one of my favorite shows, so it was great learning the theme song. It was a bit difficult, because I broke my hand six weeks ago, and only got the splint off two days ago, so it’s still a bit hard to move my hand, but I still wanted to quickly learn it.
    Anyway, here it is:

    I chose 4 spooky melodies as they are interesting tunes, but also because I wanted to challenge myself with respect to speed. Sadly I didn’t have as much time to practice as I would have liked and this is my second take recording so quite a few mistakes and ‘squeaks’. However, there are Positives I memorised all 4 songs, and got up to 85% speed for Cemetery Gates and The Escape. I could do the Haunted Mansion and Witches brew at near 100% but so to maintain the feel and contrast between the pieces I maintained roughly 80-85% speed throughout. With regards squeaky notes I do notice even when I am not rushing for some songs the notes seem to ‘squeak’ which must be my technique – any tips?
    Happy halloween everyone!

    @ukealori – Great fingerpicking, Lori! From here, focus on increasing tempo. Try five or ten BPM faster and build it from there 🙂

    @maryjanew
    – Very cool to see you add the harmony, MJ! And I love the aesthetics of the video! Melody was great overall. A few rhythms were off, so I’d keep practicing with the tab player. You may also want to try counting the rhythms out loud as you play. That always helps.

    @ccwuke
    – Playing sounded great! Just fine tuning from here 🙂

    P.S. Don’t forget to add the premium tag.

    @riley_ukulele
    – Yikes! Sorry to hear about your hand, but it sounds like it healed well! Performance was great and I love the rhythm change you added in the breakdown.

    @madhuri
    – Beautiful playing, bravo 👏

    @akukes73
    – Ash, the squeaks are caused by not maintaining pressure on the note when pressing down (fretting). Try practicing at a slow pace to work on getting the note(s) to ring for the entire duration.

    I thought your performance was great overall! All 4 melodies were wonderfully played.

    @kdeacon7
    – Great performance, Kelly! I’d recommend looping bar 6 and 12 (7 and 13 in the tab player) to work on tightening the rhythm. Also, when you go back to the A Melody, make sure to start at the top 😉

    ,I know it does not look like I am having fun in this video, but I really loved these melodies for Halloween and have had a blast learning them. I had accidentally deleted the video I wanted to keep, then got frustrated. Missed the harmonic but kept going .
    Here is my October submission without the harmonic
