andracassParticipantIt is tuned in GCEA. Aquila strings developed a special string set for it GCEA at an higher octave and it is sold equipped with that. I don’t like the higher octave and changed the string with a normal set GCEA by Aquila. The two sets are 94U and 95U.
It has a good sound, great volume for so little dimensions, the top is in solid cedar while side and back in laminated mahogany. You can find some videos on youtube but unfortunately (for my taste) all in the higher octave.

andracassParticipantI have three questions: 1. first of all, I would like to have a tip for triplet strum (other teachers are less satisfying); 2. Why a lot of uke player have the right hand open? They play only with the index or there is a technique I don’t understand? 3. How holding the uke while the left thumb change position?

andracassParticipantThanks Andrew and uke republic to give us this opportunity!
I have to study the original songs first, because I don’t know them.
But… at the end I will try!May 18, 2017 at 4:05 am in reply to: Participate in the May 2017 Member Challenge – Classical Ukulele Challenge #11620
andracassParticipantNo metronome, it’s my cuckoo clock! : D
I realize that the party with the agreements gets me very bad, I do not understand why I have so much difficulty going from one to the other, besides the fact that the ukulele slips me out of my hands. Actually, the C-G pass does not cause me problems, it’s in that position of the handle that I just can not.
I will continue with the practice, thank you!May 17, 2017 at 2:07 pm in reply to: Participate in the May 2017 Member Challenge – Classical Ukulele Challenge #11587
andracassParticipantI would have wanted to do something better, but for now I place this video, then maybe I’ll try it again. Andrew, if you give me advice on video, please talk slowly as you do in your lessons, because my understanding of spoken English is not so good.

andracassParticipantThank you, lisadmh! I have not yet attended that lesson, I just looked at the tabs. However, I’ve decided that I will try Fur Elise, even if I am a beginner, it reminds me of the time I was studying the piano. But I need practice 😀

andracassParticipantLet’s go practice! Unfortunately I have only 17 frets, so “In the hall of the mountain king” is out.
But it wasn’t my choice! 😀 😀 😀April 21, 2017 at 12:16 pm in reply to: You Choose: Our Next Giveaway Ukulele! (May 2017 Challenge) #11019
