annefgodfreyMemberlyndallk, Hallalujah is going to be gorgeous! Already, chords are beautiful! How do you augment sound of ukulele on your videos? I really need help in this area. Thanks.
Happy New Year, ALL!

annefgodfreyMember1. Execution: My goal for January is to study Andrew’s course on how to write a song with emphasis on melody, harmony & rhythm.
2. Application: With beginner status, I will only be able to scratch the surface of this course. I hope to learn the demo song, DayDreaming. Long term, my desire is to apply what I learn in the Songwriting Class towards creating my own fingerpicking versions of favorite songs.
3. Evaluation: (optional) I will save weekly recordings of DayDreaming for comparison of progress. In a paperback (Ukulele Staff & Tablature Paper) are a number of my efforts at learning to create melodic line in conjunction with learning chords to various songs. Since day one of being given a ukulele in July, 2017, I have wanted to go beyond simple strumming of chords.
annefgodfreyMemberAndrew, you have touched lives around the globe in such a positive way.
We all have learned so much from Rock Class 101 & formed amazing friendships.
Congrats, jackypoo & best wishes learning from Taimane. Awesome.
The absolute best to all this coming 2019!
annefgodfreyMemberImagine playing like this!

annefgodfreyMemberDear friends,
James Ingram sang it beautifully in Just Once: “…my best wasn’t good enough.”
My sentiments exactly! All of you play so well. Congrats on fabulous entries, ALL!
At this stage in learning, this is my best.Nonetheless, submitted with love…love for my husband, for family, for Andrew’s Rock Class 101 & for Him whose birth we celebrate.

annefgodfreyMemberRobin, you & Tiffany “hit one” out of the park! Hope you feel the high fives & slaps on your back from your Rock Class teammates.
“Coach” Andrew, you must be so proud of all your “team”…challenging songs played well by all! Congrats everyone!

annefgodfreyMemberDitto, kayleighb. Let’s smash the charity drive target.
To say “thank you” to my husband’s surgeon for his taking such great care of the dialysis fistula repair, we made a donation to the Ukulele Kids Club, Inc. in this physician’s honor. This dedicated doctor has given many years of service to his fellowman. Willing to bet he would much prefer a donation that will bring joy to a sick child than any “homemade” cookies or token gift we could purchase.
Thank you, Andrew, for so much joy that is a huge part of Rock Class 101.
Early MERRY CHRISTMAS classmates & friends!

annefgodfreyMemberThe November challenges have brought out the absolute best in everybody…each giving 110%.
What a happy ukulele family! Making friends across the globe…such joy! We must have a Christmas “get-together” of sorts.
Robinboyd, loved your OUT TAKE. What a beautiful voice, Tiffany! Olphart, your name is so funny. Thanks, everybody, for such shared happiness.
Andrew, you started something amazing with Rock Class 101.

annefgodfreyMemberI AM A PRIME MEMBER.
Dear Andrew & Rock Class friends, apologies to Taimane for this horrendous rendition of her beautiful Moon. It does not reflect the hours of practice but is truly my best effort at this time.
Thank you for continued prayer for my husband soon entering his seventh year of hemodialysis. This past year has been exceedingly difficult for him; enjoying this class has been a life-saver for me. God bless each of you.
Would you please help me download my entry:

annefgodfreyMemberHappy Thanksgiving to Rock Class friends. Sharing a fun video & wondering if any of you are having as much difficulty as I in efforts to memorize “Moon”. Such a beautiful piece. Congrats to all of you who have submitted November assignment. Great job!
Thank you for recent prayers & thoughts for my husband. He had recent surgery for repair of his dialysis fistula & is recovering nicely.
Blessings to each of you. A “shoutout” to friend, Ken, on eBay. My husband gave me an early Christmas & 75th birthday gift…a gorgeous Kanile’a soprano! Surely hope we did not bid against any of you in this transaction. Again, blessings to all!
