Member@jeg143 thank you! yes ascp-t!
I bought it from the ukulele site with no problem. I’d been looking at cedar tops for a while and the kala is such a great deal I couldn’t pass it upJanuary 16, 2022 at 12:41 am in reply to: Participate in the January 2022 Member Challenge: Celebrating 500 Lessons! #50363effortless

I went for the Etude in E Minor. Since the arrangement itself is pretty simple I tried to really think about dynamics this time. Actually, no matter how much I practiced it, I felt like I was missing something to add life to the piece. I guess it’s just one of the many areas I can improve my playing! XD
As always thank you for the amazing lessons, arrangements, and community!April 24, 2021 at 2:28 pm in reply to: Participate in the April 2021 Challenge – WIN Kanile’a Baritone Ukulele! #46605effortless
Member@stephen thanks for the feedback! I’ll definitely work on it. I think this piece will go into my regular practice since it’s so much fun to play

Memberthanks! I actually had no idea you were doing an arrangement when I was first looking for one. I only thought to search the forums after I had started practicing! I can’t wait to see the RC101 lesson though

MemberHere’s my attempt at Spanish Romance! I ended up tuning my G string up to A to make it easier to play the bass line that’s on the E string in the guitar arrangements I looked at.
p.s. sorry for the awkward camera angle that hides most of my fingering. I’m still trying to figure out a better way to situate my phone

MemberAs for the vibrato technique taught in Spanish Romance, I’m wondering if it works well on fluorocarbon strings. I’ve been trying for a while now and it seems like no matter how I try I’m not hearing any change in pitch. Thanks for any advice you can give!

Member@Stephen thanks for the advice! You’re totally right, for some reason my brain was telling me that the rhythm was the same on 1 and 3 when I was listening even though it’s clearly written as even 8th notes
