Happy Holidays, Everyone! I am submitting O Come All Ye Faithful. I feel so grateful to have found Rock Class 101. In addition to providing extraordinary lessons and motivation for all levels of learners, I quickly understood that this site really has heart. Thank you, Andrew and crew, for creating such a supportive online space and culture. I love that you included The Ukulele Kids Club as part of the December experience. I was happy to donate $50. Darn…missed the deadline! I waited to post until the last day of the month so I could get in as much practice as possible. Then, of course, had technical difficulties that had never occurred before during last minute upload. Lesson learned! Wanted to share Etude 29, anyway, since I worked on it all month. Very enjoyable! Thanks, Andrew, for the great tune! 🙂
After listening to all of the etudes, I narrowed my choices down to three, and then ultimately chose Number 29. It’s a really lovely piece…enjoying it very much!

I think I aimed a bit higher than my skill level on this one. I practice everyday, and it’s so fun to watch the progress in the beginning, with the leaps and bounds of improvement. But then I hit a plateau, and can’t seem to get the piece to that flawless state. Anyway, here is my attempt at Blue Moon, stumbles and all. 🙂 Thanks to Andrew and Steven…it’s a great song to learn and play!
I loved A Duet from the Heart the moment I heard it, and it was fun to play with a backing track. I couldn’t stop smiling when I finally made it to 100% speed, although I still only get the triplets right about 1 out of 10 times 🙂 Thanks to Andrew for the beautiful song, and to Steven for the great lesson…super fun!
Thank you so much for this lesson on addressing stage fright! It really spoke to my experience, and I appreciated Matt sharing his own stories and feelings of anxiety that inevitably arise for most of us…makes me feel like I’m not alone in my “terror”. 🙂
