Well, that Pub Prop looks handy! I’ve never seen one of those before. Cool!

Ricky, that link Andrew provided takes you to an ukulele specific model. It is probably spaced perfectly for ukulele necks (at the nut) as opposed to a wider guitar neck.

Depends on if you want a wall mount or stand, but here’s a couple of options:

Wall mount or set of two.

    Foldable A stand

Any String Swing wall mount is said to be much more reliable and durable than other generic brands (but I can’t speak from experience). I have a couple of cheap foldable stands. They do the job.

Chris, all you have to do is copy the video URL from YouTube’s share feature and paste it here in the forum message in its own line. No code or uploading is necessary when it’s already on YouTube. I hope that helps.

    I AM A PREMIUM MEMBER.

I’m all kinds of sorry for this video, but I couldn’t get a clean and steady take. I won’t have more time during the week to try cleaning it up (even though I’ve been practicing it the entire month). I have a list of things I don’t like about this video, but here it is anyway. Please excuse the false start, lol. I’m even worse at editing.

This seemed appropriate for this thread. I’m just going to leave it right here.

I learned that symbol as the birdseye but it’s formally called a fermata to “indicate the note should be prolonged beyond the duration its value would normally indicate. Exactly how much longer it’s held is up to the discretion of the performer or conductor, but twice as long is common. It’s usually printed above but can be occasionally below (when it is upside down) the note to be extended.”

    Or what Robin said, lol.

I only need three – my tenor and low G/high G concerts. I definitely need to downsize my number from seven to maybe four (at-most five). I do like that Flight travel uke…it’s unique. And if I can get my Islander soprano set up, it’ll be golden. I just don’t know a good luthier from an “okay” one in my area.

I’ve been wanting to give away my Bondi concert and Kala soprano to someone who will play them. It’s been over a year since I’ve played either one. Sad ukes. 😢

You forgot your boxy uke, @planetfink (one in your profile pic). What size is that one?

I have a bit of UAS myself (one tenor, three concerts – one of which is low G, and three sopranos). 😬

My favorite is a concert, but the tenor is not far behind even though it requires a bit more reach.

Here’s another episode of Matt’s UU Webcam Sessions I found useful last year…I still find myself cutting notes short, but this video helped a lot in understanding what I was doing wrong.

I found this article. It seems D tuning was popular in the 20s and 30s.
