rickeymikeMemberTim: Sounded pretty darn steady to me.
Jerry: I actually like the slower pace better.
rickeymikeMemberThanks, Andrew. Two nice options for me to work on.
Thanks, Kanae I’ll definitely check out Aura Lee.
Lisa, Thanks for reminding me. I got side tracked with Take me out to the Ball Game. So I’ll put that aside and go back to Heart and Soul. Will keep you posted.

rickeymikeMemberMheiden, ha. That was the trick for me to learning that part of the song. I thought of a lyric that would have one syllable match each note. Then I could sing to the beat of each note. I have the biggest trouble singing along to a chord strumming song but it’s so much easier when each syllable gets its own note. Try it.

rickeymikeMemberLisa, thanks. I couldn’t resist the lyric cause it matched the speed I was playing at. How about adding another verse to the next couple of bars. 😉

rickeymikeMemberDon’t laugh too loudly. I was practicing my introductions for my future Carnegie Hall performance (why did I keep looking to my left?). BTW, one take!

rickeymikeMemberNice crisp play, Maureen.
Andrew, I’ve been practicing all month on your etude 13 and I’ve just discovered that I didn’t follow directions, on the ending bars, I did a slide from 3 to 2 on the A string then plucked. May I keep doing it that way? And on the ending chord, I used fingers ring(10), index (7) middle (9), open G. It seems easier to me…………………………………….I couldn’t help myself on that facebook post just a while ago. I tried to make a positive statement although my mind was working in the other direction. ha.
rickeymikeMemberWelcome Tim. Thats how I started before RockClass, strumming chords. That was a year and half ago. Now I can play solo songs. Follow the course outline, try some of those beginner songs, and do take the challenges. It’s an extra incentive to practice while being fun at the same time….

rickeymikeMemberThanks, Andrew. The pauses are a result of remembering what note comes next. The pause feels like an eternity for me when the camera is on. Ha.
