I just whipped this up. It’s simple, but it should work for you.

Oops. I just realised I left out half a bar of the intro. Oh well.

    Here is St. Anne’s Reel.

This song has been my nemesis for a long time, so I thought I’d give it another go. Last time I recorded it, I had done a whole bunch of failed attempts and my frustration really showed. This time, that was not the case, but I still had issues with accuracy and occasionally missing the strings. I really struggle with that when doing the triplet picking technique. Anyway, I think it is slightly better than last time.

By the way, I once had a Skype lesson with Stephen when I got stuck on something, and it was very helpful. I highly recommend it.

It might help to have software such as Guitar Pro, which visually shows you the relationship between the tab and the score. It would probably make it easier for Stephen to show you in the lesson, too. I think they have a 7-day free trial so you can see if it works for you.

Hi @joe150 – I think you might be confused between a tenor and a baritone. A baritone is tuned differently from other ukes. A tenor is usually tuned the same.

Great! Hopefully that will make Andrew’s exercises a bit easier

    Hi @gi_gi_

I made a little video to add to what Andrew was saying. Please let me know if I’m on the right track because I’m just guessing.

Looks like I won’t do a making of video this month because I’ll be revisiting a song that I wasn’t happy with last time I learnt it. Time for the St Anne’s Reel Revenge Tour!

Good job! I couldn’t have done that after only a few weeks.

Well, last year I wanted to play more with others. I did a virtual collab with @lyndallk and submitted a monthly challenge playing along with the backing track, but I didn’t get to play with Tiffany as much as I wanted.

This year, I have the following goals.

    1. Play more with Tiffany.
    2. Work out a guitar, uke, and 2 voices arrangement of the Dead Letter Circus cover of Killing in the Name.
    3. Record a 2 or 3-part arrangement of the Kacy Musgraves cover of All is Found (already worked out the arrangement, but never got around to recording it).
    4. Learn the Alan Thornton version of Lazyhead and Sleepybones.

Hi Nori. There must be a great story behind moving from Japan to Arizona to make chocolates!

Hi @annegodfrey, you did a great job! There is nothing to be embarrassed about, and it is a great way to remember Tom.
