robinboydParticipantI AM A PREMIUM MEMBER
I thought it would be nice to record at one of the local waterfalls this week. I didn’t think about how noisy waterfalls are. Sorry about the background noise. Also, the first note got cut off. Sorry about that too.
Funny story about the waterfall. I had the day off so I thought I would go there to record this afternoon. I didn’t think about the likelihood of there being people there on a Sunday afternoon. Anyway, I turned up and there were people. I thought about going home and coming back later, but then I decided not to be such a wimp so I played at a nearby spot without recording while I waited for them to leave. I was more than I little surprised when they stopped to listen on the way past!

robinboydParticipantWait, there’s an easy ending? I had a tour guide job this week, so I just printed the tabs and brought them with me. Back now.

robinboydParticipant@lisadmn – I associate Greensleeves with icecream trucks. It’s the tune that icecream trucks used to play in Australia. I didn’t even know about the Christmas connection until Andrew mentioned it.
robinboydParticipantI know it’s not slack key, but I think The Irish Washerwoman uses ACEA tuning.

robinboydParticipantEasy choice this month. I know it’s the easy option, but I love the arrangement of Greensleeves.

robinboydParticipantHi Lyndall. I was wondering if you would recognise it. It’s a nice spot.
No fires here yet. I’ve got my fingers crossed this year. It was a pretty horrible year last year for fires.

robinboydParticipant@lisamcc – I LOVE that ending. For everyone else, make sure you watch all the way to the end.
robinboydParticipantTrust me. You’re not slow. It took me about a year to maintain a slow island strum while singing. You’ll get there.

robinboydParticipantHi Joe,
I just wanted to add to my first post to say the video shows up fine now 🙂 I just can’t edit my first post, so other people won’t know what I’m talking about.
To everyone else, please ignore my reply above.

robinboydParticipant@mdugal – I can’t see your uke very well in the video, but from what I can see, it looks and sounds great. What sort is it?

robinboydParticipantHi Joe,
The link is a bit unconventional but it works! The way to have the video show up in the post is to post the link on its own line rather than in the middle of a sentence.

robinboydParticipant@brettboy – that was awesome! I’ve been waiting for someone to post Bohemian Rhapsody and you didn’t disappoint. I love how you got so into the playing. The headbanging insert was cool too 🙂
robinboydParticipantI have been looking at Linus and Lucy, and I had to laugh when you said “if these stretches are hard for you.” I’m still working on Moonlight sonata! Trust me, these stretches are not hard.
