That was for Katazumiri. The body percussion version. I’ll get the hang of this one day!

I have yet to get that tap down…it sounds more like a sleigh crashing, but it’s a work in progress.

Thank you for another great year. I have my Improvement Plan ready for 2025!

    Cheers, all!

Etudes have never been more fun! I enjoyed trying out many of them on the site before settling on this one. Thanks to Andrew and Evan and everyone at RockClass101 for the inspiration.

This is a work in progress that I’m happy to practice.

P.s. this is a repeat posting. I’ll try to delete the previous one where the video disappeared. Seems I need remedial tech training. Sorry bout that.

Hello Andrew. Thank you, Evan and Matt for another great lesson. My version is the Slow Blues (for now) and I went renegade on the last chord. Thank you again for such a fun learning site. Happy Summer!

Thank you for the inspiring and helpful feedback. You noticed my 2nd Rubato at the end of the piece. That was strictly functional, lol. Yes, my goal is to speed that part up once I get it smoothed out. It’s such a lovely piece.

This has been fun to work on. At first I never thought I’d get it, but with a bit of perservance…this version is in slow-mo and has a few (unintentional) variations of my own. However, it remains a fun work in progress. Thank you as always Andrew and RockClass 101!

    (and very pleased to be!)

    Hello Andrew and RockClass folk,

Here is my submission of the absolutely addictive Fingerpicking Etude No. 19. It’s such a great moody piece and really fun to play. I most definitely need to speed it up and smooth it out, and I will do that. I’m keeping this one alive.
Thank you so much for inspiring me with these beautiful originals. After listening to the other submissions I want to learn them all. Cheers!

I love this arrangement and it deserves much more practice to smooth out. I used a low G.

Happy Holidays to all at Rockclass101. 🎄⛄️

Thank you Steven and Andrew for this lovely arrangement. It is still a work in progress to smooth out the bumps and get it up to tempo but it been great fun learning this so far.

    Cheers!

My offering is a slow and bumpy ride, but it will remain a work in progress until it’s smooth sailing. Thank you for the opportunity Andrew and RockClass101

Welcome! I am a participant here at Rock Class living in Surrey BC. (We’re nearly neighbors) The monthly challenges are a good way to set a goal and learn a song. But more importantly along the way to pick up new techniques, improve style and tone, get faster, and have a fun with an end date! And beyond that there are so many good songs, instructional videos of all sorts and teaching aides. I hope you enjoy!
