I am submitting ‘Here Comes the Bride’ for June’s challenge. Well, I can’t remember how many takes I have made. I found it hard to go from bar 21 to 22. I used a different finger style to Chris’s. Hope that’s ok as I have tried various ones and found this one easier for me. I also found it hard to bend my first finger after barring.

Thank you Chris for making this beautiful song.

Hi all, this month I am submitting Let It be. What a nice piece of music and so much fun to play. I have recorded numerous takes and have chosen this one which I think it has the least glitches. Thank you for the great song 😆

    Hi Stephen,

Thank you very much for the feedback. Yes indeed I was too impatient. I need to start at a slower tempo and work it up. It’s such a great advice to start with the trickier bit first and surely I have taken it on board. Much appreciated again.

    Cheers

Hi Andrea, thanks for the advice on unwanted sound. Yes, I remember that is the trick to mute the string. I can do it sometimes. If I am changing chords too quickly and my right hand fingers are busy doing the picking then I don’t have time to mute the sound. I think it’s my lack of practice:-( I’ll certainly try and also review Andrew’s lesson.

Thanks again. Have a nice day!

I am submitting Prelude in C for April’s monthly challenge. Thank you and Steven for such a beautiful piece of music. I have been enjoying so much in playing.

I still made lots of unwanted sound. I had been trying to mute the strings but sometimes it just happened.

Andrew, thank you so much for your feedback. Now I have a much better grasp of the areas that I need to work on. The unwanted melody note sound and my inability to move the fingers in bar 5 are my most concerned. So grateful for your enlightening 😊

    Cheers

    Hello all,

I am submitting the Godfather. I have so much fun playing this piece. I kept hitting some melody notes accidentally especially at the beginning.

    Thank you.

Thanks Andrew, great advice. I’ll look back Matt’s sweep strum and work on from there. Cheers 😄

Hi all, I have been away for a few months. Lots of catching up on ukulele practice. I am submitting Crossing Hemispheres. I think I need to slow down and build up the speed and work on better strumming technique. Anyway here it is.

    Hi all,

I am submitting Moon River for this month’s challenge. I like the arrangement of this song very much. I thought I have chosen an easy one but if I tell you how many takes I have made, I will be embarrassed ! Here it is. Thank you for your feedback.

    Hi all,

My take for August Challenge, Day Dreaming. I think the most challenging part for me is playing Melody B is keeping at the right tempo. I also feel I was holding my ukulele in a slightly tilted angle so I can see the notes I am playing. Not cool posture and wanna improve on that too 😉

    Cheers
