AndrewKeymaster@lhamilton – Still happens to me!
@coffeemug – Well done! I’d say go a lil slower and that will help you strengthen the tough parts – and then build it up to speed. But great job overall!February 27, 2020 at 11:21 am in reply to: Participate in the February 2020 Member Challenge – Technique Toolbox Courses! #35864
AndrewKeymaster@lhamilton – Technique looks great, well done! Keep up the great work 🙂

AndrewKeymaster@debb1985 – Way to go, Debb! One tip: see if you can get the harmony to ring out/sustain more. I think your right hand is coming down and touching the strings after the brush, which is cutting it short. Try not to touch the strings after the strum and that will let it ring out.

AndrewKeymaster@andracass – Well done MT! Technique looks and sounds great! All I can say is to work on keeping the tempo steady for the last part of the tune. Great job this month and no prob on the prize!

AndrewKeymaster@sticks366 – Bravo! That was brilliant! Harmonics ring clear and your technique looks great. The only suggestion I have is to loop the 2 strummed harmonic chords and work on getting the transition a bit faster so there’s no pause in hitting them in time. Other than that, keep rockin’!
AndrewKeymasterSorry for the delay in response – this got caught in the spam filter.
Have you seen this lesson from our concept series? It talks about multiple ways to spice up your rhythm playing.

AndrewKeymaster@turkgoose – sounds great overall! What I’d work on is playing it slower so you can focus on keeping the tempo steady and getting a lil more clarity in some of the notes/chords that weren’t cleanly hit.

AndrewKeymaster@holly1 – Well done! You’ve got a great feel with this style 🙂 If I have to be really nit-picky, I’d say watch the tempo, as you played the first phrase (quarter note part) slower, BUT kept the rest steady at a quicker tempo. And I’d prob practice the last section (the really busy stuff) a little slower to clean it up a touch. But, again this is me grilling you, LOL. Your feel is killer!!

AndrewKeymaster@samash07 – Try a really slow strum, where it’s almost like an arpeggio. This will let you focus more on hitting the harmonic on the A string. When you get comfortable with the right hand, start to speed it up so it sounds more like a normal strum.
@brettboy – It sounds awesome on that instrument, Brett! The only thing I can suggest is to hammer-on a little harder so that we get a more pronounced tone. Keep up the great work!
AndrewKeymasterRobin, you need to use thumb for leverage. For that chord, your thumb should be behind the neck around the 9th or 10th fret – basically offset to the left, so that you avoid the end of the neck hump that attaches it to the body.
