Unfortunately, the search feature doesn’t take into account 64 is the same as sixty four. So searching for the Beatles tune, you would need to type the full name as: When I’m Sixty Four. This should be the result: https://rockclass101.com/?s=When+I%27m+Sixty+Four
Or just partially as: When I’m. This should be the result (it’s at the top of the list): https://rockclass101.com/?s=when+I%27m
For concept lessons, we label them in the 100’s. So Ep10 should be EP010 or just 10.
I’d recommend taking advantage of our bookmarking feature called “My Favs”. Watch this video to learn how to use it. This way you never have to search for a song/lesson every time you log-on.
Hi Johanna, usually I figure out the progression first, then the melody. But it can be reversed, and over time, you start to do both at the same time.
Arranging takes account development of your ear and knowledge of harmony. Start with recognizing interval pitches and check out our theory course for an intro to harmony.
In our songwriting course, I dove deep into the theory breakdown behind the 3 parts of music as they relate to a tune I wrote.

deadbuggy – I really dig the “free flow” feel you have for bars 1 through 4. But I think you may want to copy that feel for bars 5 through 8. IMO, this piece needs a consistent feel. Plus, that would nicely contrast the steady feel you use for Melody B.
laurasil – wow, bravo! And yes, this was arranged by Evan. I thought you did a brilliant job overall. Here’s what I would work on: Clean up the chord hits and get them to sustain more. Slow down your tempo to work on this. But again, major props for a job well done!

2) Since I only practiced the piece for a couple of days, I was thinking “Okay I’ve played this measure, what was next?” leading to hesitation while moving my hand along the fretboard. What’s weird is that I have the whole piece memorized but I still feel hesitant. Not sure how to tackle that.
We had 37 members participate this month! This was NOT an easy challenge as it involved learning NEW techniques and playing styles! Major props to each of you who participated on a job well done! 🙂
