That’s awesome that you put it onto the baritone and I will pass your kind words along to Matt. You should def post a video cover of it. We’d love to hear it! As far as tabs, they are assets for premium members. We did teach the entire song for free in the YouTube video, so we def try to find a nice balance with what we offer to both free and premium members 🙂

@leslieb – Love it, Leslie! Such a festive take with the Christmas tree backdrop. My only suggestion is to play from memory to eliminate some of the pauses as you’re reading the music and playing.I bet you already have most of it memorized. Try playing without looking and if you get stuck, target your practice there. That’s the approach that works well with me when I work on memorizing music 🙂

@bomarkt – Lovely playing, Bo! I have one suggestion for you. I want you to work on keeping the timing a little more steady. Try playing along with the tab player in “synthetic” mode with the metronome on. The click will give you the beat and the playback will act as a guide for helping you stay in time. Try 4 or 8 bar sections at a time.And thank you so much for your generous donation 🙂

A lot of people do that when changing chords. But the open strings could clash with the progression depending on the key you’re playing in. In that case, you can do a muted strum in-between chord changes.
@concan – Beautifully played! A little more practice should smooth out the ending of the B melody, but overall it was excellent! Great job 👏
@shmu88 – Bravo! Beautiful playing, I’m impressed! Friendly tip, don’t forget to tune up before you record. Your C string was a little flat.

Sounds great, Andrea! Only advice I’d offer is exactly what you said in the last sentence: to practice sections at a slower tempo so you can focus on cleaning up your playing and tightening the rhythm/timing.

@rebeca – Bravo, very impressive playing! Only thing I’d say is don’t hit that open G in bars 5 and 6. It clashes a little bit with those chords. But amazing job on getting all the rhythms down on this tune. It’s a toughy and you played brilliantly!
@mark1256 – I thought you sang it well! You have a great voice – very comforting and easy to listen to 🙂 Great playing as well. I dig the deep sound on the baritone!@evapaju – So she’s almost giving it a staccato-like effect with the palm muting of the right hand. After she strums down, she lightly touches the strings with the palm of the right hand before coming up to strum again. The trick is the timing. The chord needs to ring out for an 8th note before muting. Try playing along with a metronome set to an 8th note subdivision.
Play quarter note down strums, but let them ring for the first half and mute for the second half.
For question #2, you’ll want to play a G7 to G7(#5). I’d recommend using a capo on the 3rd fret. Then you can play the same chord shapes that were taught in the lesson.
