    @robinnoyd Thanks. That does help. I have small hands but placing my thumb further back and bringing my elbow in helped greatly. I can at least make the sound. It’s still a stretch but I can do it. Thanks.

    @Andrew
    thanks

    @Andrew Thank you so much for this course put together by Matt. It is amazing. I never knew what the ghost strum was called but thought I would never be able to learn it this soon in my journey. Thanks for this. Matt is a phenomenal Teacher. I can’t believe I’m already improving and actually making progress with these strumming techniques….

    One question: for the G7 chord (-,2,1,5) for the exercises and the Hemisphere song….It is anatomically impossible for me to make this chord 🙂 My hands are way too small and not capable of this shape. My pinky finger barely reaches to the other side of fret 4 line. What do you suggest? The regular G7 chord sounds such much brighter and doesn’t seem to fit.

    @norikoma56 I understand your immediate love of the uke. I felt the same way. Started with the guitar and left it behind within days of picking up the uke. I love picking it up, practicing it, playing it, learning it. It’s an amazing instrument and the people who play it are so nice 🙂

    I’m going for “Here comes the sun” since it’s the first lesson for RC101. The pieces done by all the Teachers are great. Evan is amazing. I cannot believe he was 13 when he did that 😆. Congrats Evan. Keep it up. You are an inspiration to us all.

    Question: Does it matter if I use a High G or Low G uke for “Here comes the sun”?

    Welcome. I’ve been a Member since Sept I think. I stick with the monthly Challenges for now until I improve more. Each Challenge helps develop different skills. Enjoy yourself. Have fun 🙂

    I just bought some cheap pedals and a looper and made a cute pedalboard. It would be nice to learn how to loop and things related to that esp for improving how to solo and to play with a backing track. Maybe there is something on this site already about it and I need to find it. Just a thought. Enjoy your much needed vacation. Appreciate all your hard work.

    Awesome. Mine will be here by Thursday. I am totally gonna learn this. Just saw a great Ukulele player names Karlie G who is known for looping.
    You did a great job. Keep it up.
