    What a great month. @gi_gi_ appreciate the compliments. YES my new Mahogany AnueNue in low G! love it. I think someone else played one in this challenge. I know Stephen plays one but with high G.

    @dianna
    wow so creative with your back story and how you composed it. Lots of detail.

    @shelle
    – welcome and great way to start !

    @marianne
    @gi_gi_ asked about your recording and you said you use iMovie. I did too for a while with my IPad but had trouble switching format to Mp4. Do you use an APP to transpose? I’ve been using my phone lately but like iMovie for editing.

    @kelsey91
    welcome – you have a long UKE path ahead of you.

    @akukes73
    – what a nice song – love bulbs and the life they have. I’ve planted many over my years and it’s always cold or late in the season when I get them in but I’m so happy I did, because spring arrives and there they are! Just like your song – springing up from the ground.

    @ldarrow
    – sorry about covid! Really can set you back but glad you got in a great entry.

    So many good entries, want to comment on all but just know, everyone ROCKED IT as Andrew would say.

    @Andrew thank you so much. Very appreciated. @the_bumble_bard Thank YOU! So glad you liked it and appreciate your comments. As you know, it’s hard to “put yourself out there” and feel vulnerable.
    @annemarie thank you. I’m going to list the lyrics here because they are cute. I need to search how to record with better sound. What a great Challenge. Impressive how so many tried an original.

    The G-ma Rock Class Blues
    I decided to write the words, to this 12 bar blues
    I put my pen to the paper and grabbed my Uke to tune
    Rock Class gave us this challenge, what have I got to lose.

    I’m a Uke lovin Grandma, Rock Class taught me to play
    If I couldn’t play my Uke, those blues would get in my way
    I’m a Uke lovin Grandma, that’s all I’ve got to say.

    Thank you Andrew, both Steven’s, Matt Mika and Evan too
    All great teachers at Rock Class, This community grew
    We’re a supporting group of Ukers, I just love you so.

    I was gifted a Uke, about five years ago
    I searched the Net for a site that taught finger picking to show –
    That you didn’t have to sing – this is an exception – ya know

    I’m a Uke lovin Grandma…. (Repeat)

    Here is my entry. I attended a music camp in early July in Maryland and one of the classes taught Ukulele Blues and different riffs. I started to understand how often 12 bar songs are used so decided to use that as my song. I did it in A. @Andrew I hope this is acceptable. It’s not completely an original but I did write words to it. If not… well… we she see. I’ve never written a song and these lyrics came very quickly to me. It’s fun… out of my comfort zone but thought I’d had to the humor of our GREAT community here. Everyone is so kind (hint to be kind 🙂 So this is “The G-ma Rock Class Blues”

    @rebecca and @misterbones very inspiring and catchy. Really enjoyed and so many others. @marianne I may have said before how beautiful your entry was and nice that Andrew featured it.

    @the_bumble_bard
    you continue to amaze me with your creative nature. I so enjoy claw hammer and you explained your process which was fun to watch. I love that you DO feel comfortable to post how you feel. You must know that it only helps US because we are going through the same thing. Nicely done!
    So many others too @gi_gi_ and @bibilele and @nat-uke. Just impressed with the originals.

    So I will be posting soon I hope. I’m concerned it doesn’t quite mean the criteria but I’ll have to see what Andrew says…
    This site really does R O C K… Louisa

    @shmu88 what a great original. I’m sure it won’t be your last. And including TBB and Andrew is super cute. Your voice is lovely!

    @The_bumble_bard what a great lesson and start to your performance. You explained things to me about the slide on the neck – so cool. Can’t wait to hear what you “name it” and final performance. Also, thanks for the kudos last month on the newsletter showcase. It was a first for me and I had no idea so was a bit shocked to see ME in my “cozy clothes” playing Axel F. 🙂 Also @gi_gi_ thank you too.

    Wow, @deadbuggy super cool. love your playing and entries. Also top rated.

    @emiliano
    good luck with the storm. Doesn’t look good for so many but I don’t know where you are. Stay safe.

    Busy July for me… we’ll see what I get out. Love the prize to “choose your own” one of my favorite type giveaways.

    @andrew I was so surprised you showed my entry in news letter. Thank you, thank you! I’m looking forward to “original” songs for July. I think it will one of your with low G.

    Great entries everyone. So many to comment on. Good luck! Louisa

    @lhamilton that’s so cute. My grandson was a ghost buster year before last. Pretty funny. He too loved the movies.

    @lhamilton nice take on Ghost Busters. Not an easy one to tackle👏

    @suekulele
    , very pretty. Lots of feeling.

    @karenj
    I hear your comments since I submitted same Axel F. Keeping pace with back track you did nail it.
    Lots of good entries. Coming down to the finish line 😁🎉

    @the_bumble_bard you said it yourself that we are our worst critic. You did accomplish the rubato I felt and did a nice job. I still find it so hard to record and seeing how well other play, I just want to play better. You have a free spirit talent enjoyed by all here. I look forward to more comments. I’d say your interpretation nailed it. Barbie approved 😁✌️🤟👍

    @shmu88
    lovely as was @jgillard

    @johanna2509 very pretty. Such a good emotion. Can’t wait for the low G debut.

    @gi_gi_
    thank you. Congrats on @andrew posting your YS take!

    @the_bumble_bard
    appreciate your positive comments. Now that summer challenges are on hiatus, you’ll have to post more “noodling “. Love that Matt is doing a lesson on it too.

    @clempek
    love that song I find it mesmerizing. Nicely done.

    @the_bumble_bard thank you. You should definitely watch Beverly Hills cop. They were funny movies with Eddie Murphy’s ad lib humor. The new one has actor Joseph Gordon Levitt as his side kick. The tune was always connected with the series which is why I picked it.

    @gi_gi_
    lovely YS. I think that song was my 1st or 2nd entry on RC few yrs back and I was so green I really struggled. Fast cord changes I just couldn’t do. Nicely done though. I think you asked me about meeting Jake S. On other page, I had heard of him but I think his fame has exploded even since five years ago. Go if you ever get a chance.
    Happy Summer Solstice RC friends. Hope some are playing live for make music day. 👏🎼🎉🎼🌞

    @andrew thank you! I’ve said before that the playback feature is the best tool. Unless you could memorize the timing with the base, it was hard to stay with the beat. Glad I didn’t wear out the key 😁

    Look forward to the movie!
    Great entries Rock Class
