leb397Participant@andrew as always, thank you for positive feedback. I like idea of using one finger strum in first section Etude 32, and B using three. My original problem was the three but I’ll work at it.
I don’t know about other but this month I felt nothing was going smoothly. My fingers felt so unconnected then previous challenges. Like a mental block….
@dianna I agree with a way to give thumbs up. So many amazing entries and we know the amount of practice going into these. Glad im retired but life still interferes. 😉April 30, 2023 at 3:01 pm in reply to: Participate in the April 2023 Challenge! You Choose: $1,745 OR $2,900 Kanile’a #57306
leb397Participant@morrieuke1 what a gorgeous Uke! Congrats. Just love the tenor sound and nicely played.

leb397ParticipantThis is my second video
I couldn’t give up on Etude 32 so I mixed it up and tried the one-finger strum approach.
Both videos need more work but I loved the tunes so much and all the entries made me want to keep trying.
so here is Etude 32
Thank you Andrew and Stephen for amazing music
Rock Class really does ROCK!!!!

leb397ParticipantI AM A PREMIUM MEMBER
I am going to submit two video’s.
I started learning Etude 32 but I struggled with the strumming pattern and didn’t think I could complete it. I couldn’t get the tune out of my head… loved it.
So I started Etude Fingerpicking. It wasn’t an easy piece either but here is my submission.

leb397Participant@Andrew now that I’ve gone to lessons “free lessons” or “concept” I don’t see “recent lessons” in the sidebar . It lists beginner… low g….duet to mention a few with a check box but nothing like you explained. I must be missing something? Louisa
leb397Participant@ Andrew this is great to know. I can’t ever find the weekly lesson unless I search my email when posted. Song doesn’t show in Uke search,
Thank you
leb397ParticipantYeah @the_bumble_bard ! It’s perfect. Such a beautiful take. Thank you
Happy Easter and for this special hymn ❤️🐇☺️April 6, 2023 at 8:42 pm in reply to: Participate in the April 2023 Challenge! You Choose: $1,745 OR $2,900 Kanile’a #57031
leb397Participant@rafaela lovely playing… I too find myself humming #32. Going to take me a while before posting 😊🎼🎶

leb397ParticipantJust a quick add from above, correct term is PIMA for rolling the the 1st cord then others.

leb397ParticipantRef. Etude32, I may have gotten my answer from @jgillard entry (excellent btw)… I was going to ask if we have to “roll” the cord like @steven does or can we strum or pluck it. Being left handed it’s a struggle to roll T,I,M,R for me. Just so uncoordinated.
I’ll continue to try but not a lot of hope. Beautiful Etude and love Ascent @andrew, although I,m not ready for that challenge. Anxious to see others tho.
Another gorgeous Ukulele Prize!April 1, 2023 at 3:10 pm in reply to: Participate in the March 2023 Member Challenge: WIN Classical Ukulele! #56978
leb397ParticipantCongratulations @dianna
What a pretty tenor Uke that is… jealous. 😉
Everyone was amazing and we all know and share how hard we worked.
Thanks Andrew and Steven.March 30, 2023 at 7:33 pm in reply to: Participate in the March 2023 Member Challenge: WIN Classical Ukulele! #56939
leb397Participant@The_bumble_bard nice job with Study in Bm Sounds really smooth on that cool electric uke! Your concerns were SOOO similar to my playing. Some tricky cord fingering. I guess that’s why they are called challenges! 😉
Not sure I’ll get past the recording jitters. Sounds like WE are not alone there, when you read many of the comments.Anxious to see what’s next for April!

leb397ParticipantP.S.
@misterbones very nice. Your second part was cool. Not sure the technique but it was like a reverse fan. Probably not a good description but sounds great. -
