leb397Participant@ Andrew this is great to know. I can’t ever find the weekly lesson unless I search my email when posted. Song doesn’t show in Uke search,
Thank you
leb397ParticipantYeah @the_bumble_bard ! It’s perfect. Such a beautiful take. Thank you

leb397ParticipantJust a quick add from above, correct term is PIMA for rolling the the 1st cord then others.

leb397ParticipantRef. Etude32, I may have gotten my answer from @jgillard entry (excellent btw)… I was going to ask if we have to “roll” the cord like @steven does or can we strum or pluck it. Being left handed it’s a struggle to roll T,I,M,R for me. Just so uncoordinated.
I’ll continue to try but not a lot of hope. Beautiful Etude and love Ascent @andrew, although I,m not ready for that challenge. Anxious to see others tho.
Another gorgeous Ukulele Prize!April 1, 2023 at 3:10 pm in reply to: Participate in the March 2023 Member Challenge: WIN Classical Ukulele! #56978
leb397ParticipantCongratulations @dianna
What a pretty tenor Uke that is… jealous. 😉
Everyone was amazing and we all know and share how hard we worked.
Thanks Andrew and Steven.March 30, 2023 at 7:33 pm in reply to: Participate in the March 2023 Member Challenge: WIN Classical Ukulele! #56939
leb397Participant@The_bumble_bard nice job with Study in Bm Sounds really smooth on that cool electric uke! Your concerns were SOOO similar to my playing. Some tricky cord fingering. I guess that’s why they are called challenges! 😉
Not sure I’ll get past the recording jitters. Sounds like WE are not alone there, when you read many of the comments.Anxious to see what’s next for April!

@misterbones very nice. Your second part was cool. Not sure the technique but it was like a reverse fan. Probably not a good description but sounds great.March 26, 2023 at 4:59 pm in reply to: Participate in the March 2023 Member Challenge: WIN Classical Ukulele! #56885

leb397Participant@marlongas beautiful Adelita! Study in Bm very nice too. It sounds like you have an amp attached but I don’t think so. The acoustics are so lovely. Really makes the piece. 🙂
leb397Participant@surferjay that was awesome! Thanks for posting. Would love to try some flamenco. Very inspiring
Seem there just isn’t enough time in my day. I see your post was 3a.m. 🙂 !

leb397Participant@the_bumble_bard thank you kindly. I’m giving my fingers a break today because I truly spent 2 days recording that over and over. My low G Uke isn’t the best and so I had to be careful not to make the strings buzz or twang too much. It WAS a challenge.
@gi_gi you did amazing with Aldelita. I loved it in a slower pace. Made you listen extra careful to hear the next note… cool. Thank you for your encouragement. We ALL need it!
Brazo! Entrants. I’d love to get this tenor uke… 🙂

leb397ParticipantThis is a second entry (doesn’t count). I wanted to get through the Classical course and The Study in Bm was a real challenge for me with the small cord movements. I also made a mistake using a different fingering in measure 8 & 13 (D7) and when I went back to try to unlearn it – yikes – it messed with my head!
I have to give kudos to those that played Adelita – just wow. Well done.
Thanks again Steven for a great course and Andrew mixing up the music in these challenges. So here is Study in Bm – far from perfect but had to try.
Louisa
leb397Participant@the_bumble_bard I love your arrangement! Cool picking sound. You are def improving. So fun watch.
Yes I’m almost ready to post study in Bm. I must have recorded it 50 times but keep hearing dead notes. My fingers are sore. I’ll try again.
Keep posting hymns. You are good.
I spent time review cord progression today. Such a weak area. Also don’t know about you, but when I memorize a challenge song I feel like I’m not learning the “cords” – meaning I can play it but cant tell you the cord all the time. Something I really want to work on. Steven is good about repeating the cord name.
Anywaaaaay…. Keep up the :). 😉 faces -
