Thanks, @annemarie! I love playing that uke. I have an iRig that hooks up from the guitar to my iPad which provides the preamp and can channel the sound to my earphones for practicing and to the amp when I’m ready to share what I’m doing.

Hi,
This month I tried Misirlou. I know I’m far from good on the recording, but you should have heard how bad I was at the start of the month 😀 It’s a fun technique to work on. I tried using a pick for this but found my thumbnail was long enough and felt more natural.

Hi,
I’ve worked a bit more with the metronome and foot tapping. Not perfect but a bit better I think than the previous take. Thanks for the suggestions. I worked with my own metronome as well as with the online Rockclass tab viewer/player. I’d had trouble before with the player freezing sound on the iPad after a bit but found if I didn’t make any settings changes other than speed and “set metronome” I could keep it going for this.

I’ve been a bit leery about foot tapping since I have the “ability” to tap out of rhythm with what I play, but I’ll give it more of a chance and I’ll work on the muted strums. I’d noticed that they tend to unmute. I had real trouble with the metronome because of the notes on the offbeats.
