lhamiltonParticipantThanks, Andrew! I really like the claw technique and would live to be able to go faster. I’ll definitely look at the video.
By the way, I’m finding it interesting that I’m finding memorising the monthly pieces is going much faster for me lately than it ever has.

lhamiltonParticipantHi,
I tried Fingerpicking Etude No. 12 this month. It was fun to work with and the dogs loved it (they push open the door of the room where I practice so they can stay in the room while I play, but only for certain songs).

lhamiltonParticipantHi @csamura,
I have a Kala KA B baritone ukulele and like it a lot. It has lovely tone. I wouldn’t want it to be my only ukulele since it’s tuned differently from regular ukes and I also like playing high 4th string ukuleles. I’ve found it makes good accompaniment for whistling but is also a nice solo instrument for pieces that don’t need a high 4th string.

lhamiltonParticipantThanks, Andrew! Yes — I noticed the timing issue myself after I’d recorded 😀

lhamiltonParticipantHi,
This month I worked in Zelda’s Lullaby —
I really enjoyed this arrangement. My dogs did too — there was a dog sleeping on the floor at my feet as I played.

lhamiltonParticipantWow! Thanks Andrew! I really love playing this instrument. I’m using an iRig to connect it to the iPad GarageBand as the preamp and then to my little Pignose amp set beside the recording iPad so it would pick up the sound more easily. I’ll keep working on the piece to smooth out the small hesitations.

lhamiltonParticipantHi,
This month I tried Lacrimosa. I loved the arrangement.
I fell in love with the electric ukuleles that were part of the challenge a couple of months ago and managed to find one in a Canadian music store, so I decided to try it out for this piece. I really enjoy playing it.
