lisa-kMember@lisamcc thank you. I’m glad you liked it. I think Tref was the star of the video. Hopefully if I keep practicing, I’ll be up to his standard by next Christmas!

lisa-kMemberHere’s my attempt at Summertime. Not perfect but I’m so pleased that this is just the third take – usually my nerves get the better of me and I end up recording 50 plus takes! So hopefully I’m finally getting used to the camera and getting over my stage fright. It’s only been 18 months to get to this point!!

lisa-kMemberHere’s my second attempt at Sleepwalk. I hope I’ve made some improvements. I think I’m almost there with melody B?

lisa-kMember@Andrew. Thank you so much for the detailed feedback – it’s so helpful! I will certainly practice the transitions as suggested. I was using just the first string for that Fm(1) chord in the video, and have now progressed onto to first and second strings, so will continue to add strings as I practice! As far as the arpeggio timing is concerned, your explanation is really helpful. I have filmed a the first 8 bars again and hopefully show improvement with this? Many thanks again!

lisa-kMemberHere’s my early attempt at Sleepwalk. Lots of mistakes and I’m struggling with the first 4 bars of melody B. I’m also finding the flourished strum technique quite tricky – it seems to be throwing my timing off because I’m not doing it quickly enough? Lots of time left to practice though, so I’ll keep at it and maybe post a better version later on. Thank you

lisa-kMember@Andrew Thank you so much for the feedback. I didn’t think I was at the stage where I could concentrate on getting a vibe! I’m really pleased that I can now look at doing that! Thank you

lisa-kMemberSo much fun trying this one! Apologies for the background noise – I had to record in my dog crèche! Quite a few mistakes but getting there I think

lisa-kMember@AJ Thank you for your feedback. I have found some of the chord transitions difficult so I’ll keep working, and slow it down as you’ve suggested. Many thanks!

lisa-kMemberHello. I haven’t participated in a challenge for a while so thought I’d be brave and try L O V E with singing! Very nervous about appearing and singing on camera, and lots of mistakes particularly in bars 13 to 20. However, I really enjoyed practising this one. Thank you to Matt for his lesson on common mistakes. I’m trying to rectify mistake no. 1 from his lesson as it makes a huge difference, but I don’t always manage it.

lisa-kMemberHere’s my second take for my first ukulele tune. I’ve added a bit more to my b melody to balance things out a little. I hope it’s an improvement!

lisa-kMember@Andrew thank you for the feedback. I’ll try to expand the B melody as you’ve suggested. I thought it was a bit short, but got stuck, so I’ll have another play around. Thanks!

lisa-kMemberHi. I’ve attempted to write my own song for this challenge. As a beginner player, I’ve had to keep it simple and as usual, I can play it better when the camera isn’t watching. Here it is!

lisa-kMemberHello! Here’s my attempt at 12th Street Rag. Lots of mistakes but so much fun to play. I’m still struggling to calm my nerves as soon as the camera starts to record – I ended up playing faster than I usually would. The triplets at the end are still really difficult. I might post another attempt at the end of the month if I manage to make some improvements. Thanks
