rickeymikeMemberI associate Greensleeves with the Lassie TV series with little Timmy way back in 1959.
rickeymikeMemberDefinitely not a silly question. I too have the habit of holding the uke with my right pinkie and ring. Chords that require that the thumb be under the neck (like barre chords for example} are a particular problem with keeping the uke from moving. I do find that using a strap is a big help.

rickeymikeMemberThree great choices. Just because it’s easy doesn’t mean it’s not a great song to learn and play. So I’m with Robin for Greensleeves.
About 10 years ago, I was at Disneyworld on Christmas night waiting for the big parade. There were these roaming carolers all dressed in beautiful Victorian garb. I asked them to sing Greensleeves……they never heard of it…….What? I said do you know “What Child is This?”……..they never heard of it…….Can you believe it? ha.

rickeymikeMemberJina, so fantastic. I love that Les Paul! You’ll have to message me about how you did that dual performance. Really great even though this old man doesn’t know the song. ha

rickeymikeMemberValidity of Rising Sun existence has never been verified. The building that I used has a much storied history including location of The Royal Club Saloon back in the late 1800s. The building itself dates back to the mid 1700s and was mostly a primary residence (mansion) in the heart of the old city. Muriel’s, the current occupant, restored the home to it’s original splendor.
