rickeymikeMemberLyndal, you’re too harsh on yourself. I thought it was great and by taking Drew’s advice by just moving on, you certainly hid the mistakes from this listener. BTW, what is that “ring” on the neck?
rickeymikeMemberNeat-O, Miz. Thanks so much!
rickeymikeMemberHiya, Becky
Yes it is an insanity inducer. I bet a lot of us do this from time to time.
The song is “The One I Love Belongs To Somebody Else” probably from the 1920s. You’re right, the chords should be simple enough no jazz chords ha. But don’t get me started with old standard songs, I probably know them all. LOL. I just wrote down those few notes: d-e-d-e-d-e-d-e-g-a-b. Put it on the back burner for more free time……Just for grins, here’s the song by,to me, a most underrated Doris Day:October 21, 2019 at 1:16 pm in reply to: Participate in the October 2019 Member Challenge – WIN a CUSTOM Kanile’a! #32825
rickeymikeMemberAndrew, congrats on your first post. Nice playing.
Planet, Congrats on your 1st year anniversary. You have become a Finkenstein Monster of the uke!

rickeymikeMemberNice going Laura. It definitely fit the theme although I never thought of it as somber back in 1969. ha.
Lisa and Rip, I think I am getting close to recording SleepWalk still need to work on memorizing. I usually practice ad nauseum then do one take unless I freeze while trying to remember what comes next. (Please Andrew, let us have the sheet music in front of us. LOL)
Andrew, strangely I am able to stretch my pinkie to the 4th fret with some ease on bar2 of the #2 alternate ending but having more trouble getting the ring on the A string 5th fret of the 4th bar of melody B…..everyone has different flexibility or just genetic limitations.
