@Andrew – Sometimes plans have to be adjusted…
I’m currently having problems with my elbows.
Please no giveaway entry for me this month. When everything returns to normal, I will continue whis chellenges.

@The_Bumble_Bard That’s right, in G minor there are 2 flats (B flat and E flat).
Have you noticed that the key signature of “Jmate li vino” also have 1 sharp? 🙂

And in the “Schottis fran Lima” there is no E flat in the melody, but it appears in the accompaniment.

@muzikmama I rarely manage to determine the chord progression by ear. If the progression is easy, something like that C – F – G – C, it’s easier for me to “calculate” it. And these two examples for me are “very interesting – but nothing is clear.”

Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with Barry Manilow. Does he have many songs with Gm & D progression? Could you name one?

So, here are two pieces and there are no other chords except Cm, Gm, D 😉

Pay attention to the key signature. And I’m also interested in what key we are in (from the point of view of music theory).

Tried and failed: Additional keyboard effects to get the orchestral feel of the original but ruined by noisy keys.

    I also encountered this problem.
Does your keyboard have a record button? Look at the photo. Your button may look different, as long as it is somewhere.
I have such a button. When I record a keyboard I do the following:
    1. I press the “record” button on the keyboard.
    2. I press the “record” button on the smartphone.
    3. I’m playing.
    4. I finish recording on my smartphone.
    5. I finish recording on the keyboard.
The video with a moving image and a terrible clatter of keys is ready.
Then I record another video, where the keyboard plays without me. The picture turns out boring, but the sound is without the clatter of keys.
Then in a video editor I make one video out of two. In the first video I turn off the sound, in the second video I remove the picture.
I would really like to simplify the process, but so far I haven’t come up with anything else.

@The_Bumble_Bard – I see now that I have two pieces (one from Sweden, the other from North Macedonia) whose chord progressions consist of Gm, Cm and D.
I understand that D and D7 are not the same. But they are not too far apart 😉
Will you be interested in what folklore musicians do with it? I can record these two pieces near the end of the month.

There is a dance club in my neighborhood. Sometimes they do „Session Tanzhaus“. This means that anyone who is interested in the dances from Northern Europe, Eastern Europe, the Balkans and Israel can take part. I signed up for January. The list of dances is fixed: 3 sets of 7 pieces each. So I have a stack of 21 pieces in front of me.

    1) Execution – I will be going to „Session Tanzhaus“ as a beginner rhythm ukulele. I take tenor ukulele with me. I practice: 1 day – 1 set – 1 hour.

    2) Application – „Session Tanzhaus“ will take place on January 12th. I’ll go there and play what I can (and if it doesn’t work out, I can go dancing)

    3) Evaluation – I will select 3 pieces out of 21 pieces. Either those that I particularly like or those that I find difficult. I will record these selected pieces and show them here. Hopefully I’ll hit the right chords at the right time.

    @Andrew, thank you so much!

    @anyon1
I’m using “VSDC Free Video Editor”
In the video editor you can:
    – allocate space for the image on the screen,
    – manually move the entire video (with corresponding audio track) relative to the timeline.

About synchronization, the more rhythmically you play, the better the end result.

This time I had Matt in my headphones, that is, I was guided by the backing track. Sometimes it’s easier to play if you have a metronome in your headphones. Here you need to experiment what is more convenient for you personally.

Thank you @musiclover, I’m very pleased.

There were 3 videos, recorded separately with Samsung Galaxy Tab S2.
As far as I know, “acapella” doesn’t work on Samsung.
So I put the 3 videos together on the PC using “VSDC Free Video Editor”.
I would like a simpler solution, but I haven’t found anything yet.

@The_Bumble_Bard Oh, turn off the fan before recording! A familiar problem.
    But I don’t have a fan, I have a wall clock.
I have to take the clock out of the room because it ticks louder than the U-Bass.

I couldn’t have done anything in three days. I started working on “The Hourglass” on September 15, when it was posted on YouTube. So I had 18 days. In addition, I recorded at 75% speed.

If I think about it… At 100% speed, and even while waiting for pizza, my entry would most likely be similar to yours 🙂

And here I have a question: what would happen if you reduced the speed to 75%?
