Unlike piano, which is very strict on fingering, uke doesn’t have a set right or wrong. We’ll always recommend the fingering we think is best, but sometimes it may not be best for your playing style. For example, I’ve watched a lot of Evan’s performances and noted the fingerings that he chooses. Sometimes they do not work well with my playing style, so I change them to best suit me.
marni11 – Beautiful playing, Marni, and very impressive getting it learned in 3 days! I think your next goal should be to memorize it. Memorizing will also help with getting the tempo to flow a little smoother, as you’re not having to check back and forth with where you are at on the sheet music.
And for those who are reading this feedback, here is why it’s so important to memorize.
@bzediver – 60 is a great tempo to play it at 🙂Rickey, try to cut some notes out. Either of these would work, pick the one you like most:

Ex 5 in the lesson covers a PO to the open string. Make sure your thumb stays planted on the back of the neck and I’d recommend using form 2 to further help stabilize the neck.
Okay, that’s odd. Let me know if it happens on any other lessons. If so, I will contact the SS team to troubleshoot.
So when you hit play, it doesn’t play… unless you hit it at least 3 times? Is that what’s happening?
