No worries! Your playing sounds great! But there is something important that we need to correct. Earlier this month, @jgillard and I left feedback for @ksapp92 in this post (and two above it).
I’d offer the same advice for you, but extended for both hands. The linked advice covers the right hand. For the left, try fretting a single note, but apply no pressure. Slowly start to push down and keep plucking the string as you do this. Eventually, the note will ring. Take note of how much pressure is needed to get it to ring. You should notice it’s less than you are applying now.

@nelsonlin2021 – Great job, Nelson! I’d recommend practicing slower so you can focus on cleaning up your playing and keeping the tempo steady. Also, take a look at this lesson. Matt shares some great tips to help you perfect the triplet strum technique.As for your question, it’s just something I do which helps me keep the time.
@delugehound – Very cool to see your progress, Jana! You were able to build it up to speed with fluidity! Bravo!One thing to point out, is that you are playing it with a straight eighth note feel. We want to use a swung feel for this tune. Check out this lesson. It teaches the difference between the 2 feels and has a great exercise to practice switching between the two.

@marlongas – Performance was great! Your thumb placement looks fine. I’m not sure what size that uke is, it looks like a concert? But it’s def easier to use the thumb on tenor or baritone sizes. If you have a larger uke, give it a shot and you’ll feel the diff right away.Here’s everyone on page 4 that I hadn’t gotten to.

@gstriph – Excellent playing, Jerry! Rhythm was spot on. Only thing I’d say is try to not staccato the opening notes. Only apply it to the 2 notes that are marked with the staccato dot. To clarify, I’m only talking about the first 4 bars.

@terryfallon3 – Way to go Terry! I thought you did an excellent job getting the pull-offs to ring nicely!For the B Melody, try using your middle finger instead of the ring on that 3rd fret, string 2. It should give you more dexterity playing those phrases.

@dianna – That was a very good take, Dianna! I thought you did a great job with the pull-offs. I’d suggest slowing the tempo just a touch. It sounds like you’re going at your max speed and I think it would groove more a little slower.

@lhamilton – Great takes Linda! I heard the swing feel more defined in the opening notes when you went slower. So keep that in mind as you practice at the quicker tempo.
@clempek – Great playing Clem! The only thing I want to hear is more emphasizes with the swing rhythm. Check out this lesson for help with that.
@rgillof – Your fingerpicking is great! And you nailed the swing feel. The only thing I can point out is that you pause in between phrases. For ex, the first pause happened at 10 seconds in your video. That was the end of bar 4, before 1-4 gets repeated.When I taught private lessons for over a decade, I noticed a lot of folks do that. They would nail a phrase (1-4), but did not practice what happens next. So my advice for you is to work on playing through the next part without hesitations.
Practice bar 4 into 1. Then when you are comfortable with that, try 1 – 8. Apply the same principle for any other pause you did later in the tune.

Did you know that you can play any low G arrangement on baritone? The only difference is that you’ll be playing in a different key.

That was awesome! Great playing! The only thing I’d change is the last chord in Theme 1. I’d let it sustain and fade out before jumping straight into Theme 2.

@rafaela – I thought you aced it and I loved the second take! Bravo on the tempo and very clean playing!
@coffeemug – Great take, Mary! I have 2 suggestions. Try to keep your thumb planted on that top note throughout the first measure to increase its sustain and I’d also recommend slowing the tempo a little bit. It sounds like you are going at peak speed. And I think if you went a touch slower, it would allow the notes to breathe and sustain more.
