ajk101MemberI went for In the Hall of the Mountain King for this month’s challenge. This was a lot of fun and I loved putting both parts together.
Looking forward to next month’s challenge!

I went with Minuet in G and attempted to play it at the target speed. I did not add the accompaniment though.
Working on my audio recording set up – will work on the video part next, but for now I’m using Soundcloud.
ajk101MemberBeautiful 🙂 You have a very nice sound and the arrangement is wonderful.
ajk101MemberVery relaxing – nicely done!

I went with Jurassic Park – such a nice arrangement! Still some work to do but I figured I’d beat the end of the month rush this time.

ajk101MemberI went with Daybreak this month – very beautiful song!
I have some work to do on it yet but the month is almost up. I am pausing between passages a little less than the previous challenge, but still an area to improve.
I will pass on the contest this month – I could use the lesson to be sure but I am not a Skype user.

ajk101MemberVery impressed with the submissions I have seen! I still have a long way to go, but before this month I could only play a couple of riffs from Here Comes the Sun, so I will focus on the progress I am making. Looking forward to the next challenge.
I am a premium member.
Here is the submission:
ajk101MemberThanks Lisa and Gi_gi! Gi_gi, the Uke is a Lanikai OA-CET. I just got it this week and so far am really enjoying it.
ajk101MemberThanks for the encouragement Andrew!
ajk101MemberNicely done Lisa, you’ve inspired me to work on this Etude too 🙂

ajk101MemberThank you Andrew! This helps a lot. I was struggling with how you could tell the C Major and D Dorian apart because they share the same notes, but of course the I chord for the C Major is C major and the I chord for the D Dorian is D minor, and so on, and that’s a huge change right there. Now I see how, with some practice, you could tell the two apart by ear rather easily.
Thanks again and hope you are enjoying the holidays!
