Holy cow, Andrew! That’s some fast playing. I guess you don’t call it Rock Class for nothin’. 😉

Love Katie from One Music School! So cool that you’re collaborating. 🙂

Roxi, I’m willing to bet Andrew will still keep you in the giveaway. 😉

I’m with Roxi. I only started playing in April and didn’t become a RC101 member until late June, but I started joining the challenges as soon as July. I don’t record my face either and my performances are far from perfect.

The submissions are fun to learn from and the feedback from Andrew is invaluable in improving my playing. The prizes are great, but the individualized critiques are what keep me motivated. I also enjoy seeing other members’ progress because I can learn from them, too.

But that Kanile’a, though!!! I’m not going to pretend I don’t want it. 😂

    I think that’s a Kala KA-EBY-T?

Rickey, here’s a site that has a lot of uke reviews by blogger Barry Maz (goes by Baz) and he has a lot of other info on his Got a Ukuklele page including an updated calendar for uke festivals around the globe.

    Global Uke Festival Calendar

I also subscribe to a lot of ukulele newsletters and they usually share upcoming events various brands are sponsoring or artists are appearing. I found out about my local event through Facebook. I like and follow a lot of ukulele brands, artists and ukulele community websites, so it came up as a suggested post.

    So cool, Lisa!

There was a festival in my area on the 22nd, but I couldn’t go. I was super bummed to have missed Taimane, The Ukulele Teacher (John Atkins) and Cynthia Lin. 😭😭😭 I can’t remember, but I think Craig Chee was there, too.

I’m hoping maybe next year! Thanks for posting your videos – looks like a lot of fun. 🙂

LOL I don’t think Andrew suffers from UAS. He’s probably referring to the third as temporary because it’s the one that’s being given away on 12/24 for the October/November/December member challenges. It’s valued at $1800!! You should check it out and join in on the fun. The best part is that Andrew always gives individual feedback to all the posts. 🙂

I suffer from both…badly. UAS IS REAL. I didn’t resist it, so now I have 6 ukes and I only bought my first one in April this year.

Cinichol – at the very least, you’ll need your high G and low G come November. We’re all anticipating the new lessons. 😉

    My complete collection!

Just got a Flight TUS50 (Salamander) travel uke to keep in my car, so I can play anywhere I go!

The new member challenge Kanile’a sure would be a nice addition! Lucky #7? 🍀 😉

    Here’s hoping. 🤞🏻

Sara, I love your facial expressions in the first video. Haha!

My level of playing is nowhere near trying something like this tune, but it’s fascinating all the same watching others and their progress. Thanks for posting.

Andrew – Is October going to be super hard to go with the super surprise? I wanna participate, but now you’re making me nervous what’s coming!

Happy birthday to me (today)! Coincidentally, my two new ukes from The Ukulele Site were delivered just in time for the ocasssion. Both low G, so none of the songs I know how to play sounded quite right.

The thin body concert (Kala KA-SSTU-SMC-C) is more compact than I expected and the tenor (Islander MT-4-RB) is a first for me, so it feels huge in comparison!

This same strum technique (strings 4-2 only) was taught in Aura Lee and it starts around 5:36 mark.

Lisa, show us your new tenor (or better yet, play us a little something you’ve been practicing on). 😉

What happened to your Kala KA-C? I thought you had a concert uke?

My two I ordered from HMS last month haven’t shipped yet. ☹️ Still waiting for them to come home to me!

Dave! I’m so glad you posted to the September challenge. I had just bought one of your Ukulele Go! soundhole shirts. I love the design! I hope to see more of your posts here in the future. 😊
