@jbmills07 lovely playing. You embodied the classical course in your playing. So good. Louisa
WoW, I’ve been hoping you would have a tenor as a prize… it’s a beauty too. On to my 12th challenge in a row. 😊
Good luck everyone.Congrats @leslieb ! Pretty little uke you have there. Can’t wait for you to show pictures 😊 Louisa
Thank you @Andrew for positive feedback. I give you the credit to my slow but gradual improvement! I can honestly say practice is the answer to playing. You and your team keep it fun and interesting. The members make it enjoyable being a part of the group. I truly look forward to seeing the familiar member entries.
We ALl struggle with recording and getting a decent “take” after 20-50 tries… but bit by bit… it might only take 15 tries 🙂
Thanks RC101. LouisaMy February entry – Navigating the fretboard. Not much time to practice and had a slip in middle but loved the birds singing in background so posted this link. Camping in Florida… the good life. Thanks for the mini lessons Andrew, perfect way to work on a technique.
Great entries this month. Happy Valentine’s Day. Love the mini lessons and still hope to get in an entry. Currently camping in FL and enjoying the warm sun. Louisa
Congratulations @june2020 Beautiful Uke!
@karenj it was you that played banjolele… nice…. I feel you struggle
Kudos@pandansarianom Welcome – I am also a member for only a few years. When I joined I was a first time UKE player and searched for a website that would TEACH more than – just a tab song. RC101 has amazing lessons that teach many techniques and some music theory. Go at your own pace and the library of songs is amazing. The community of people is so supportive and Andrew is so helpful. WELCOME, Louisa
@gracme2 Greetings! Join the fun. Enter one of the challenges on the site. Everyone is very friendly and Andrew is so supportive and offers individual advise and encouragement.
Louisa from CT@brettboy you are so entertaining! You just make me smile 🙂 Love second take and cool uke stickers! Louisa
@Andrew, thank you, as always, for the encouragement. This “closet” uke player is full of doubt but I’ll keep chugging along.
Look forward to your new lesson on classical music.
So many great entries this month!!!
LouisaI really took a chance trying Etude 16 as a challenge this month. I struggled getting the rhythm of the pull-off bluegrass melody. (I blew it) You just have to “hear” it because replaying the lesson (100 times!), it’s not until you increase the speed that you start to understand. I didn’t get it right 🙁 and I wish I had the time to correct or relearn but this snowbird is flying south for a bit…
I used IMOVIE to upload the base rhythm separately… more technology.
I can’t say enough how important the Playback and Looping tools are for increasing speed and practice. I managed to nail the ending but couldn’t get a clean video entry with camera jitters.
Kudos to all the entries – lovely playing.
Thanks Andrew – another great challenge Louisa
@june2020 I think you played that very well! Nice entry.
