    I LOVE this site. The joy it brings me and how I feel like a kid waiting for the next post, it’s the best. @yukalele you have made my day with your piece. I vote that you WIN ! Your special effects with the “green screen” was wonderful. What a great entry. Thank you for sharing. I agree with everything

    @katazumiri
    your dreidel piece was great. I’m going to show my grandkids who just learned the song in kindergarten.

    @abster
    you should be so proud, as well as your family. Great job.

    @gi_gi_
    chopstick was perfect. I think I started learning that a year or so ago but stopped… I’ll go back now.
    I feel like Andrew with my comments but EVERYONE is doing so well. You all inspire me and I’m sure others. My list could go on but I’ll leave it to our leader @Andrew
    Happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate and Merry Christmas others.

    Ok ! You folks are the best and keep me smiling! I can’t wait go through all of this information. I’ve been flat out with December activities. BUT this is a 2023 goal for sure.

    @surferjay
    you are so generous with your musical knowledge – thanks 😉 Louisa

    Wow love seeing all these goals. I have a few but I will have to agree with @gi_gi_ to learn improvisation – I can’t do that at all yet. And @The_bumble_Bard, playing in front of people – yikes I just don’t have that confidence yet. This is why RC101 is so encouraging. The slightest positive response or even a like on YouTube makes me smile. And @surferjay your entries are awesome but winning the lottery would be nice and playing a uke all day in Hawaii sounds pretty amazing!

    @camper
    your goals are perfect and I know you will be sharing a video of a song in the new year.
    My 2 Cents on melody, I agree with @The_bumble_bard. If you have a group singing 3 part harmony – the lead would be the person singing the melody. I think that is correct???
    Wish all of you Chatty Ukers a great holiday!!! 🙂

    @brettboy That was beautiful. I love your emotion you put into your playing. So fun to watch. Always look forward to your entry. You hit this one out of the park, like so many.
    Merry Christmas.

    @camper I love that you are a camper in Japan. Do you have a caravan (trailer/RV) or tent? My husband and I have camped for almost 15 years all around our states and I always bring my Ukulele. Not confident enough to play in big groups but getting up my nerve. Pictures of you travel with you Uke would be fun to see.
    Remember when you respond to someone you have to type their “name” exactly with *-!_ or any marks and precede with the @ you almost had it with @gi_gi but needed the extra underscore 🙂

    @camper welcome. I know you chose the perfect site to start your Ukulele journey on RC101. This is the site I joined almost 4 years ago when I knew nothing about Uke or playing an instrument. Follow the lessons then choose a song you like in library and learn it. I found that to be most rewarding because I could “play” something. Good luck. This is a very encouraging group! Louisa
    Ps make sure you check box below so you see future comments, maybe you knew that but took me few times to catch 😉

    I AM A PREMIUM MEMBER

    Everyone is off to a great start! @the_bumble_bard, love that you are showing your progress and shared the “goofs” we all try so hard to hide and STILL it was good. It’s a hard piece and think @andrew should list it as advanced (ha ha).
    I chose God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and got a head start in November with LOTs of practice. Memorizing this was probably the hardest I’ve done and strumming with thumb may seem easy but to make is sound decent … it wasn’t. Anyway – kudos to the song choices for December and thank you @Matt for this arrangement and I might even work on @Steven “Nutcracker” arrangement if I get time. 🙂
