Louisa@smokealot, I remember this Ted talk. It is just one reason I play with the Uke. I have no goal for Carnegie Hall but the joy of accomplishment is all mine.
Everyone is on a different path @the_bumble_bard states. Practice is time spent. “Obligations “ get in the way, work, family, to do lists and then you have age – parts take longer to learn. I’m at a place in life, retired and just love learning some new song. I play for me rarely in front of anyone. (except my recordings on RC101)😆

Happy Halloween Uke friends. So impressed by entries and the struggles we all battle. BUT broken, smashed fingers get extra kudos and then there are the distractions of cats, dogs, birds. I just love it. Thank you @andrew for the challenge. Louisa
@Andrew Thank you for the positive complimentary words. As hard as it is for me to learn a song, I’m happy with any progress. BTW the most difficult part(or one of) in Stranger Things was the intro – I’m left handed and making my wrist move fast up fret board was hard! lol.
Last – without the ability to loop the playback lesson and adjust the speed, I’d be lost. It’s the best part of learning a new song!

Enjoying all the entries this month.
Again, another struggle getting through Stranger Things. Kept getting “yips” as my husband would call them, when trying to keep a steady picking rhythm. Played with @Andrew track so many times…
I relate to so many of the comments – sore fingers, over 50 video takes, I have run out of time this month. One improvement… I can’t hear my nails hitting 😎 THANKS @Andrew
