mark1256ParticipantThanks Andrew. I think I learned a lot from Matt’s course and I really enjoy playing this song. I’m still working on the tempo.

This was way over my head but I am pretty happy with the results. A little slow and yes I know I repeated the pulse mute progression (accidentally).
mark1256Participant@smokealot thanks for the video. Excellent reference.
mark1256ParticipantCharles, I’ve been dealing with the same issue. Found that a nail strengthener helps somewhat. However, I recently saw one of the pros recommend short nails. He preferred the sound of the flesh on the string to the fingernail. I’m going to try keeping mine cut shorter and see how that works out.
mark1256ParticipantThank you very much. That did it!!

mark1256ParticipantThanks for the feedback Stephen. I am trying to concentrate on holding those notes out along with the rhythm. Slowing down the bridge notes was intentional. In my head, I think those notes should be emphasized. I was doing that by holding the note longer than written. It got the results I wanted but also messed up my timing. I’ll keep working on it.

Hello Rockclass. I’ve enjoyed all the performances so much. It was hard to decide on a song but I’ve always wanted to learn Here comes the sun. This opportunity finally made me sit down and do it. As always it took a multitude of recordings before I was somewhat happy lol.

I just had to do this song but forgive my singing. No way could I sing it in A so I decided to use a baritone and do it in E. Made a few mistakes but I just played through them. That is difficult for me.
Now back to work on Last Christmas.November 17, 2021 at 1:54 pm in reply to: Participate in the November 2021 Member Challenge – WIN $2,100 Kanile’a #49290

I did Etude in E minor. I was fairly happy with it until I relistened to Steven. I’ll keep working on it but (believe it or not) I have come a long way.

mark1256ParticipantThanks AJ. I’m working on it. Seems like the more attempts at recording, the choppier it sounds to me.
