Thanks Andrew! I can’t remember if you mentioned the micro-bend in the lesson, I just noticed it while listening to AJ’s rendition so I tried to mimic it (his is quite sharp is it not?). I will practice more subtlety, thanks!

A love song indeed — Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling in Love is the song that played when my then-boyfriend-now-husband had our first-ever slow dance at the age of 18. I tried to channel my 18-year-old self to add emotion to my playing. 😉

Thanks @ripley! I’ve also suffered ukulele-related injuries in the past (my left shoulder blade and left thumb/thenar area). Who knew the ukulele could be so dangerous? 😉 Keep it up!

For real Andrew?? I’d be freezing.

Rickey it’s whatever bulb that came with my Ikea lamp (it says E26 6.3W or something?). LOL, the t-shirt filter was a necessity!! I kept playing with layers of cloth and camera settings until I got the effect I wanted. My high school photography class comes in handy once in a while! And of course the storage closet lights were off for the shooting, only the lamp on.

Aw thanks for the kind words, Ray! I did have a lot of fun planning the video. Here’s a behind-the-scenes shot of my setup (inside a storage closet). Looking forward to seeing the remaining videos and costumes this month!
