Here’s my recording of Sleep Walk. It seemed like a good song to play in the dark!
Great playing, everyone! See you all on July 4th 🎸

My heart wasn’t in this one, so I guess I really Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love. But there’s always something to learn and work on.
Awesome work everyone! I’m impressed by those who tackled Jump. Until next time!

nthibodeMemberThanks @Stephen! Agreed, I enjoy it at a slower tempo. I have tried it at 90-100% speed but it gets messy and sounds a bit rushed (it’s a good speed for the singing part though!). Cheers 🙂

I learned the instrumental solo for Beauty and the Beast this month. Now I just need to win that baritone so that I can learn the singing part 🙂
Until next time!
nthibodeMemberLooks and sounds great, Sara! Congratulations!!
nthibodeMemberWelcome Ashley! Lovely singing!! Looking forward to trying out your arrangements 🙂
nthibodeMemberWow, this looks like a lot of fun to play. Sounds great!!
nthibodeMemberMy pleasure, @simonalexander! It’s definitely worth giving it a try. Have fun!
nthibodeMemberAw thanks, Brian. The closest thing to ‘formal training’ was listening to my sister play the piano while growing up (so a lot of metronomes, scales, and melodies!). Been playing the ukulele for 4 years now; I think I just have a strong work ethic and attention to detail. It’s been a great hobby!
nthibodeMemberThanks for the kind words, @willymac! I recorded it back in January — just waiting for that challenge so I can click copy/paste 🙂
Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies by Evan would be lovely!! I agree, Evan’s arrangements take months to learn well.. But they make me feel like my fingers are dancing with the ukulele. Love them!
It’s funny to hear your story about the conductor — you don’t know what you got ’til it’s gone.
Cheers,
~Nathalie
nthibodeMemberAwesome work, Brian! I’ve been learning this one for a long time too — such a fun one to play. I’ll be happy when it shows up on a Monthly Challenge 😉

nthibodeMemberGo for it Jerry, if you you’re a fan too! To start I played along with Andrew’s audio recording at a really slow speed, then gradually increased the speed as I got comfortable with the addition of the slide. Have fun!

nthibodeMemberThanks @Andrew! Like Jerry, I had noticed the left-hand slide you do at some parts (and I liked it) so I tried to copy you. Hope it worked!

nthibodeMember… Because 2 Chord Jam (no.2) begs to be played with sunglasses on 😎
Awesome work so far this month! Keep it up xo.
nthibodeMemberThanks Mark! A trip to Germany had been planned for May 2020 (to celebrate my Oma’s 85th), but of course we had to cancel due to Covid. We will definitely travel there once allowed! I’ve been there twice before, for my Oma’s 75th and 80th birthdays. You’re right, it is very beautiful.
Take care,
~Nathalie -
