smokealotParticipant@nthibode that was wonderful! And the best part is that I listened to it while I was trying to get the baby to sleep and he directly fell asleep! Thanks for that 😉
smokealotParticipantI wanna be like you!

smokealotParticipantI AM A PREMIUM MEMBER
Who wants to submit even though I am far from done with it. Never done a triplet strum before but love the technique and will work more on it.

smokealotParticipantThanks for the reply Robin,
it seems to be tougher than I thought (hoped). I tried your suggestions but couldn´t get a satisfiable sound. (Perhaps a triplet strum would work if executed properly).
Someday…
smokealotParticipantAwesome, thanks a lot Andrew!
smokealotParticipantThanks for sharing becky. During my research on how to practice i found this page:
http://www.public.asu.edu/~schuring/Oboe/practice.html
It is written for oboe and mostly reinforces what is said in the video but perhaps reinforcing practice habits is just as important as actually doing it 😉
smokealotParticipantIm using a laptop with windows 10.
With opera i get the metronom to work on all three tracks as well.
smokealotParticipantOn MS Edge + Firefox it still is not working (cannot open the settings menu), both are up to date. Just for the sake of trying it I downloaded Opera and it is working there. It also works on the iphone.
Guess I´m using Opera now.I have no clue why it is not working on the other two anymore.
smokealotParticipantI was just playing When Im 64 when „St. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band“ came into my mind. Would love to see that as an arrangement.

smokealotParticipantHaha! That was very amazing 🙂
(The Spaghetti really confused me till i saw the title)
smokealotParticipantHow cool is the guitar playing pastor covering nothing else matters? I really like his sound.
As for my entry on the whish list: Chocolate Jesus by Tom Waits.
(Or really any song by tom waits. Im not picky)
smokealotParticipantHi Becky, thank you for sharing so much of your inner child 🙂
Rc101 just feels so homely, people are so appreciative here, I appreciate that a lot! It is nothing to be taken for granted.I agree with you that everybody probably has a muse / influence like Nancy is for you. Between all that looking up to people / admiring their skills and listening to different people teach the same thing I find it hard to focus on what I find best for myself. But I guess that comes with time.
For now I will just work on getting the tone out of my uke that I really like to hear. The faster I moved forward the less I enjoyed my music for it sounded sloppy to me. During my search for the “how to get a good tone” I stumbled across Herb Ohta Jr. He is honey to my ears.
Next step: Playing clean 🙂

smokealotParticipantIm working on lagrima as well and have the same problem with the funky fingering or finger franzy. So Im trying to barre bar 5. the jump from end of 5 to 6 is doable and the switch from 97×7 to 79×9 is even more complicated but seems doable too. At least it works better for me than what Andrew recommanded. I just cant put my ring finger underneath my middle. Been doing the stretching exercises. Perhaps that will help.

smokealotParticipantI don´t think the premium member thing is still a thing anymore. At least I cannot find it in the description of the monthly challenges. I assume it was only a thing for the kala challenge.
smokealotParticipantGood to hear from other people about that topic.
I know the learning path page and use it as a guideline, it does help me to get a rough idea of what I could be doing. The learning path page is actually where I found the idea of splitting up your practice time in 1/3 and I wondered if anybody was doing that or if there are other ideas out there.
What you two said describes me well too. My situation at the moment is that I don´t get much regular practice time and want to make the most out of the time I have.I already started to play easier songs better, working on a good foundation before working on harder songs. That seems most important to me right now.
But then there is all that theory stuff out there. How much are you guys working on that? Apparently lot of you have written there own originals, which I find very impressive and have gotten there somehow. But how?
Atm I am trying to do a little warm up, then practice easy songs while paying a lot of attention to the technique and getting a good and consistent tone. When there is still time I started the jamming & theory course.
In the end I keep reminding myself that I still have a lot of time left and there is no need to rush and that I eventually will get there if I want to 🙂
