smokealotParticipant@cloud_cactus You could play amazing grace on your high g. It sure does not sound as good as it would on a low g but still works.

smokealotParticipantWow thank you Andrew. I wasnt expecting this kind of feedback since the only other feedback I get is from my guitar playing father in law 🙂

smokealotParticipantAmazing Grace!
At first i was very excited about this technique. Then I wondered if that is what i want to work on right now. Then i stuck with it anhow because of the challange.
I will probably work on it some more (i would like to get the chord harmonics working every time) but focus more on the things i find more benefiting for me at the moment.
smokealotParticipantI just made one myself too. Very easy and very cheap 🙂
smokealotParticipantI dont think one is ever too old to start anything 🙂
Here is a youtube link on how to upload videos here:
(Below the video is a button “share” which i clicked anD then hit “copy link”. The link can just be pasted here and it will show the video in the forum)
smokealotParticipantHi. I made a short video because i get an unwanted sound when i play a harmonic on the c string. It is kind of a high ringing sound.
The sound quality is not too good but one can hear it. I wonder what the reason could be.February 2, 2020 at 4:22 pm in reply to: Participate in the February 2020 Member Challenge – Technique Toolbox Courses! #35509
smokealotParticipantI played my first harmonic! It feels like i am just learning to walk and finally made my first steps.

smokealotParticipantThank you Stephen for the encouraging & helpful feedback. I guess I would have just put this song aside without it.

Here is my attempt at grace’s lullaby.
The first and only recording, so it is very authentic as to where i am right now.I really like the spirit of these monthly challenges. The time limit keeps me focused in times where i dont get to play a lot. After half of the month i stopped practicing on the lullaby but then got motivated again because i like challenges. 🙂

smokealotParticipantWow, Etude no 19 sounds beautiful!
I wanted to give it a try but was disappointed to recognize it is written for low g. Since I have no idea how that works I have the question if it is still possible to play it on a high g?
Otherwise I will go with Graces Lullaby (and call it Mios Lullaby).Edit: @deadbuggy: Another “wow”. I really liked your piece. It had something cheerful but yet solemn too it. I was unconsciously tapping my toes all the way through.

I am quite content with my first upload here. This is the third try, the first two ones I was too nervous playing for my camera 🙂
I´d be grateful for any feedback. The past three months on rc101 I was able to learn a tremendous amount and everybody I play your arrengements for finds them very beautiful. I am very glad I found this site.Happy Hollidays everybody 🙂
