I like to use the low g on some songs that are mostly strumming for sing-a-long, but usually when I play that, I’m at a ukulele group with others sporting their re-entrant ukuleles, so I add a little something. When fingerpicking/fingerstyle, the low g will sometimes make the song sound off unless you quickly shoot up 12 frets.

You can do what a lot of people do, and just have more than 1 ukulele 🙂
